Quiet resort near Jackson

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: The location - very quiet and relaxing.
Cons: Internet access speed was lacking
We had a very relaxing stay along the Snake River at the Flying Saddle Resort. While it is a ways from Jackson, that is part of the charm - quiet, slower pace away from the Jackson crowds. The restaurant was very good for both dinner and breakfast, and the staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. The grounds are well kept, and the chairs on the grass overlooking the river provided a very relaxing evening. The room was clean and comfortable, but a little dated.

It is a beautiful hotel in a terrific location. The only thing I would improve on is a room with a door to the back of the hotel. We loved being able to bring our dog but it would be nice to access the pet area from the room.

Had all the amenities.

Posted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: The restaurant was very good. The people were very personal and helpful.
Cons: Compared to other hotels that we stayed on our trip we found the rooms were slightly smaller for 4 people.
Location: The Snake river was an everyday discussion on how beautiful and clean it was.
The Flying Saddle hotel is a great experience. It has all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. We went swimming, played tennis, and enjoyed the local community.

Location: Location too far from Jackson.
The hotel was fine. I was mislead in believing that the hotel was close to Jackson. The ride was way too far. I was very unhappy about that.

Pros: Booked this hotel without realizing it was 30 miles out of Jackson which proved to be a benefit for us as it got us away from the busy Jackson area
We stayed in the older section (there is a newer building in the back of the property). Room was clean and comfortable. No frig or microwave. Lobby warm and inviting with nice gift shop and Liquor store. Formal Dining room with great menu or you can eat in the Bar/Lounge also with great food. Pool and Sauna indoors and very well maintained. Friendly and accommodating staff. Grounds lovely with flowers and waterfalls. Great scenery. Would book again.

Long drive

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Restaurant was good. The grounds were very well kept.
Location: Not much around the hotel.
Hotel was clean. Rooms were fine. Not sure why it was called a resort. It was a long drive from Jackson, even though it was listed under the Jackson hotels. Felt the room rate was high.
