bell'hotel appena fuori dal centro di bolzano. camera quadrupla comoda ma non bella come quelle viste sul sito. poca empatia da parte del personale ma ormai ci siamo abituati al carattere dei bolzanini. ristorante bello e con buon servizio e ottima cantina a prezzi adeguati (migliori quelli del vino che quelli del cibo) per la qualità riscontrata. colazione di alto livello con molta scelta e prodotti eccezionali. suggerimento se fai quattro spritz di aperitivo prima di cena almeno 2 patatine di accompagnamento le devi dare anche se non sei un bar. a volte ci si perde davvero in un bicchier d'acqua

Great restaurant - we had our nicest meal out of two weeks in Italy. Woke up to the sound of a babbling brook and singing birds. Brand new pool

Great Stay at Hotel Eggentaler
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Eggentaler during our recent trip to Bolzano. The hotel was beautiful and our rooms were very clean and comfortable. Dinner was outstanding! I would highly recommend this hotel.

Don't check in on a Monday
When we arrived on Monday, the restaurant was closed and the hotel door was locked with no one to check us in. We finally got hold of someone on the phone who gave us the entry code, guided us to our unlocked room with the key on the desk, and told us where to find an open restaurant. Breakfast at the restaurant was fab and was sorry we couldn't stay for dinner. Room was very clean and quite nice. Also convenient to the autostrada.

2 days in dolomiti, nice comfy short 7 min walk to center.. Good free breakfast, parking and wifi.and large room with sitting area. Free spa available and onsite restaurant. just be careful of stepdown to bathroom.

Touring base for Bolzano and the Dolomites
Stayed as a family of 4 in July. Not a conventional hotel, more a restaurant with rooms. Our quadruple room had 2 bedrooms, which was great. Dinner was excellent and fairly priced. It seemed to be popular with the locals because the restaurant was pretty much full inside and outside. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. The location is not scenic by the high standards of the area and there are no scenic walks from the hotel. We used it as a touring base. We had driven up from Verona to Bolzano in the morning, did some sightseeing in the city, and then stayed in Der Eggentaler for 1 night before heading east to Cortina.

Love Bolzano!
Our room was very comfortable(the bed was a little hard) and very clean. The bathroom seemed to be newly renovated and clean. We had dinner in the restaurant one night, it is a must! Breakfast was good with a nice variety to choose from.We would stay here again.

On the edge of a Beautiful City.
This hotel was exactly where it said it was on the map but the in congestion of the area we went to far but found it right away coming back. Very nice, new and clean. Spoke good English and they were very helpful in telling us about the City of Bolzano and gave us a map and directions to close parking. I regret we didn't have more time because the restaurant looked very nice. They did have a good breakfast. Would stay there again.

Worth finding
Hotel and Restaurant were very good. The only drawback was getting there. Searched over an hour for hotel, mainly due to Garmin directions at round about, Garmin told us to take third exit off the autostrad, it was the second exit. Had it not been for a very nice young girl, we probably wouldn't have found Hotel. Hotel needs to have directions included on web site.

This is more of a restaurant with rooms, somewhat inaccessible and certainly not close to Walther Platz as Hotels.com page alludes. That said,it is some restaurant, with staff v.attentive and patron happily visiting each table, probably sure of there not being any complaints:food quite sophisticated, and moreish. Breakfast quite fresh and copious, too. Conversely, hotel staff rather thin on the ground, and care should be taken when booking - seems both reception and restaurant can be closed on Mondays. Patron, however, made sure we weren't left in the lurch. Room,with balcony,remarkably spacious. Bolzano, though not a comfortable walk away, hides some charm behind the enveloping industrial areas.

Very good breakfast
Breakfast was very good, the hotel clean and a staff is polite and helpful, but there were 2 important disadvantages: first, our room that was defined Nonsmoking, had a shared balcony, and there smoking was permitted. To emphasize importance of this I'd like to notice that there was no other way for air to enter our room except the only door/window opening to the above mentioned balcony. The second disadvantage became clear to me when I've been in the middle of getting shower and out of the sudden I saw there was no soap - at all - in both soap containers! (Containers were not transparent so I couldn't see that beforehand) It was late and my daughter was sleeping and couldn't help me to talk to receptionist, so one may imagine this experience was unpleasant. . Finally, the last our evening a party took place in the hotel restaurant, and we found no place for parking in the whole town(the small neighborhood where the hotel is located) so I just parked the car very far away and moved it towards the hotel only when the party was over.

Perfect Getaway
It's a wonderful hotel that was an old house and they managed to turn it into something beautiful. the staff are extremely helpful all the time with a smile on their face. The restaurant is very romantic and the food it's just DIVINE.The rooms are very romantic with a balcony which you can hear the river! it's not too far from the city center only 15 min by walk which it's a beautiful walk too. i will definitely visit again after my experience :)

A very special hotel
It was off season so that is probably why this hotel was in our price range. For the leg of our trip from Innsbruck through Brenner Pass and down into Switzerland, we searched for a hotel in Bolzano with free parking. Just a little out of town, it was great. The room was spacious, modern and clean, decorated in the local style and with a good view of the mountains. They have a vey classy and excellent restaurant in the hotel as well as a bar and pizza room. There is a sauna (nude coed) that we didn't try. On our vacation we stayed mostly in smaller private hotels. Hotel Der Eggentaler is the rare combination of a privately owned and operated hotel with a personal touch that is truly professionally operated.

Stop on way to skiing
We phoned at 2100 to say we were arriving at 10.30. Could we eat? The maître d said the restaurant closed at 2200 bt they would stay open for pizza. They welcomed us and fed us wine and pizza. In the morning after a nice breakfast the staff had done an internet search to check the road which was closed due to snow. They gave us a printout of an alternative route to our designation. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you

Nice hotel but difficult location
Nice hotel, but too far from centre of Bolzano unless you have a car. buses and taxis difficult to come by. Room basic but adequate. Breakfast was very good.

I'M FROM ROMANIA,AND A FEEW DAYS AGO WAS AT DER EGGENTALER.IS A BEAUTIFUL HOTEL WITH VERY NICE PEOPLE THERE,EVERYONE KNOWS ITALIAN AND ENGLISH.I RECOMAND THIS HOTEL IN BOLZANO,ITALY.THE PRICE ARE VERY SMALL.AND THEY HAVE A BEAUTIFUL RESTAURANT THERE AND INTIMANTY SAUNA.HAVE A NICE TRIP TO BOLZANO.

Great stop for Bolzano
We stayed here while visiting Bolzano. I booked it because the price was right and it looked decent in the online photos, but was more than pleased when we arrived! Room was cute and comfortable. Beautiful setting. Great breakfast!

Insgesamt war es den hohen Preis nicht wert. Für Hundebesitzer nicht zu empfehlen. Wir hatten zwei Superior-Zimmer (Zimmer 14 und 15) im Mai 2022 gebucht. Positiv: Das Hotel bzw. beide Zimmer sind wunderschön eingerichtet. Sehr stilvoll und hochwertig. Negativ: Nicht funktionierende Klimaanlage. Fenster konnte man auf Grund des starken Küchengeruchs vom Restaurantbetrieb und der hohen Außenlautstärke nicht öffnen. Entsprechend schlecht war die Nacht für uns vier. Wasserkocher ist um Zimmer, nur leider kein Kaffeepulver dafür. Keine Grünfläche für Hunde im Gassi-Geh-Bereich des Hotels. Frühstücksbuffet. Dies war bei weitem nicht so reichlich wie erwartet. Aufschnitt musste extra bestellt werden (ohne Aufpreis). Hier erhielt man lediglich eine Standardplatte mit Salami, Käse und gekochtem und rohem Schinken. Rühreier oder ähnliches würde gar nicht angeboten. Starker abgestandener Fettgeruch in den Flügen des Hotels.

Hotel accogliente e curato
Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel una notte per visitare Bolzano prima di raggiungere la Pusteria per andare a sciare. Hotel curato, camera accogliente e spaziosa con piacevoli travi a vista. Ristorante dell' hotel ricercato con bella presentazione dei piatti e prezzi non bassi ma in linea con i piatti presentati. Sicuramente da poterci ritornare, magari anche nei periodi piú caldi.

Tolles Hotel in prima Lage. Saubere Zimmer, gutes Frühstück, schöner Pool, tolle Sauna. Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen und kommen gerne wieder! Ein paar Kleinigkeiten hätten wir als Anregung: Stift und Papier im Zimmer, größerer Mülleimer und vielleicht ein kleiner Kühlschrank. Vermisst haben wir ein Saunahandtuch und / oder Bademantel; dies gab es nur gegen Aufpreis.

Perfekt pause i turen hjem fra Italien, værelset var stort og rummeligt og hyggeligt. Poolområdet var virkeligt lækkert. Wifi fungerede fint på værelset. Morgenmad og aftensmad i restauranten får også top karakter.
