“Engaged!”

My fiance proposed to me on the upstairs deck. It was beautiful and romantic!! The accommodations were better than I expected. This was my first B&B and I would highly recommend Imperial to others. We arrived early and they allowed us to check in, no problem. The two breakfasts we ate were wonderful. Cinnamon pancakes one morning with fresh fruit and sausage. The second morning was a freshly baked quiche with fresh fruit and sausage. They also offer yogurt and other cold breakfast. The restaurant was very reasonably priced with very fresh ingredients. Entrees start at less than $15. The food is filling and perfectly portioned. Our room was clean and matched the online pictures. The mattress was the only downside, and could certainly use some replacing. We had a wonderful time at the wine tasting event that was in downtown Amador City the first night we were there. For $15 a glass, all the local wineries offered tasting in the street (there were 11 when we were there). Watch out for the lady handing out the glasses. She is a bit snobby. My fiance and I are in our mid 20's and she explained the pricing in a way that sounded as if we could not afford it. I highly recommend staying at Imperial during this event since it is so reasonably priced and eliminates any need for a limo or other service to shuttle between wineries. I cannot wait to go back!!!!!!!
