“Room with a view”

We loved our stay but you have to be in shape to take full advantage of everything this hotel has to offer! The hotel sits high above Positano, in the village of Montepertuso and offers absolutely stunning views. The area immediately surrounding the hotel is all agricultural -- there are vineyards, tomato vines, peppers and gourds growing along the entry walk and it all adds to an amazing sense of arrival. A welcome snack including beer, wine, bottled water and olives from the property awaited us at the top of the stairs. Our room had a terrace that gave one the feeling of leaning out over Positano from 1000 feet up! We could see all the way to Capri. The beds were comfortable, we had a small kitchenette, and the bathroom was done in locally made, hand-painted ceramic tile. Salvatore and Antonio took care of our luggage, as the climb was 130 stairs from where we parked to our room. We decided to walk to Positano and there were 1000 stairs down to the beach which left their mark on our calves and thighs for the next few days but it was a scenic and fabulous walk. All in all I give B&B Le Ghiande very high marks. It was exactly what we expected and were looking for. I would stay here again and recommend it highly to those who can make the climb.

“Heaven on earth”

The most amazing place I have ever been and we have travelled quite a lot! Antonio and Salvatore from le ghiande are absolutely amazing and made our whole trip. It wouldn't have been the same without them. The actual b and b is clean and comfortable with the most beautiful views. Like others have said, don't let the stairs up to them scare you off! Once you are there, you won't regret it! The breakfast of fruit, yogurt, different cakes, breads, etc and coffee was plenty to fill us up. Everyone must see this place!
