Our dream Holiday in Ravello
Posted Jan 2, 2012
Pros: The location, the cleanliness and the pleasant and helpful staff
Cons: None
Location: Breathtaking location
We spent 12 days in the hotel in August 2912. Our room had a wonderful view on the sea and we kept the window open to hear the waves crushing against the walls. It was a delightful experience. The staff made us so welcome, we thought we were amongst friends. They answered all our questions and helped us in every way possible. The private beach area was easy to access and was kept neat and clean. The two staff were there at all times during the day to offer drinks and food. It was a memorable experience and I am wholehartedly recommending this lovely hotel. Elizabeth and Sasha

Quirky but not quite as expected.

Pros: The view.
Cons: Room size.
Location: Superb location but a car a definite necessity.
My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel and must agree with previous reviews that the hotel is in a wonderful location right on the waterfront built into the rockface. However because of its location it is not suitable for the elderly, young children, infirm or disabled. There are many steps both within the hotel itself and down to all levels for the pools, sundecks, etc. You definitely need a car to get around as the hotel itself is some 6km from Ravello, and although on the local bus route nowhere can be reached on foot so unless you have a car you are restrained to the hotel amenities. The hotel is quite quirky in its design and room themes which are all nautical but be aware that the rooms are small and the bathrooms tiny with no baths as advertised. There is a shower in all bathrooms but again this is 'small.' My husband was looking forward to fishing on site as advertised but this is not available. Its sunbathing or nothing at the hotel although trips can be arranged. Te hotel staff are very friendly and and I would recommend this hotel if you want a short break away from everything.

Great Best Western
Posted Jan 10, 2012
Pros: Staff and location
Location: Stunning
Helpful staff. Super surroundings. Really relaxing. Excellent food. We will go back soon. Despite the twisting roads and the Italian drivers this is an excellent base to visit the coastal regions about Amalfi and to visit Pompeii, Vesuvius and the museums in Naples. The views are beautiful.

Cannot recommend highly enough

Pros: Falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves after a beautiful meal
Location: Breathtakingly beautiful
Our stay was truly wonderful, both in terms of the hotel itself and the staff that run it. The location is utterly idyllic (we could almost touch the ocean from our window) and this is complemented by a beautifully decorated and maintained building that used to be a paper mill. The rooms was spacious and catered for all our needs, but the outstanding feature of the hotel was the staff - attentive, gracious and thoroughly enjoyable to be around. We will be returning to Hotel Marmorata very soon indeed...

Hotel with superb sea view at a quiet corner

Pros: Friendly staff, and the overall relaxing atmosphere!
Cons: Mosquitoes as open the windows
Location: Off from the beaten track, nice quiet place!
The staff are very friendly and helpful. It provides free shuttle to the closet biggest town, Amalfi is superb! If it can provide or install free anti-mosquitoes repellent will be excellent. Our sleep were disturbed by the mosquitoes ever night. I recommend you go to Salereno to transit there. Or contact the hotel for the best route to go if you don't drive like us. We enjoy our stay very much, very relaxing!
