Soulless hotel with terrible decor.

Not 5* by any means. No business centre.the reception is miles away from entrance and difficult to find, not what you want after a long journey. The only good thing about it is the terrace breakfast, stunning views. Also, hazardous walk into town at night, either via steps in the dark or the dangerous road without any pavement.they only provided shuttle bus during the day.

Phenomenal views. Very basic, Ikea-esque rooms.

Chic style and vibe. Very minimalistic though and the rooms felt like they were furnished as cheaply as possible in a manner that looked great in photos, but was not comfortable. Regarding location - we went back and forth on where to stay in the Amalfi region and felt like staying in the town of Amalfi of itself was a mistake. In hingsight, wee should have sprung for Sireneuse in Positano, did a quick day trip to Sireneuse, and skipped Amalfi itself altogether - nothing going on there.

Pros: views, staff
Cons: cleanliness
Location: best location, close enough to center of amalfi(5 min walk) yet far enough for quiet.

A honeymoon not to forget

Posted Aug 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
Spending 4 nights at this beautiful, mesmerising and graceful hotel was next to none. Only made better by its boutique feel with only 53 rooms. This old 1100 AD convent is set above the touristy masses in a tranquil garden of bougainvilleas and boasts blue ocean at every angle of your room. From the first greeting to the daily world class service, we felt this was like it was a sanctuary in it's own era. The spa could have been more comprehensive as it lacked a jacuzzi or sauna and lacked lustre. The breakfasts are decadent and much needed for an exhaustive hot days tanning at the hotel's private beach not far away by boat. The rooms are elegantly simple and fresh. The views from every room is priceless. We can't wait to return...
