“Hotel Aurora. Quiet and Calm in a Busy Resort”
The hotel is at the western end of Amalfi, so there is very litle traffic noise, something you will appreciate quite quickly. However, its only a five minute stroll away from the town centre, so it wins on both accounts. There is a lovely bougainvillea covered balcony where breakfast is served and a cool lounge for whiling away those hot afternoons. You can get rooms with a superb sea view, but ours, which faced away from the sea, was great for our purposes and relatively cool, being away from direct sunlight. The manager, Andrea, is fount of knowledge on the area and Amalfi and travelling around. He's extremely helpful and has an embarassingly good command of English (no parlamo Italiano!). Its a great place to stay, very clean and tastefully decorated. We had a wonderful time.
