Wonderful hotel in Pasitano on the beach .Posted Oct 30, 2013
Great stay! Wonderful hotel at the base of Positano. Great staff and very comfortable place. Short walk to ferries that go everywhere. No need for a car. In fact, it's very expensive to park. Call ahead. Get porter to help with your bags from the road which is quite few steps down but absolutely worth the walk and effort. Great, restful, fun vacation! The Restauraunt is also very good. Highly recommended

One of the bestPosted Oct 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was one of the best experiences we have had at a hotel. We had a large room with a wonderful terrace overlooking the Mediterranean. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The only downside is that you have to carry your bags down or up about 2 blocks of steps and hilly sidewalks since no cars are allowed any closer. we used a porter service when we left to get the bags up the hills.

Fabulous location, wonderful staff!Posted Oct 15, 2013
Pros: When we left, the staff made us feel like family and that they were sad to see us departing.
Cons: We had requested a non-smoking room months in advance, hotel confirmed request, but initially were placed in a smoking room. Resolved.
We had a fabulous, new mini-suite with a large terrace overlooking the sea. It was very romantic. The staff was warmest, friendliest of all hotels we visited in Italy (and that is remarkable since we loved most hotel staffs). We participated in the cooking class and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is perfect-close to boats headed for Capri or other Amalfi destinations. The restaurant was our favorite in Positano.

Great hotel on the beach in Positano.Posted Oct 2, 2013
Pros: The decor of the hotel was very Italian and really made you feel like you were in Italy. It was very inviting and comfortable.
Cons: Perfect as is.
Location: Boat docks were on the beach to take you to Capri or Amalfi. LaZagara piano bar was our favorite every night.A short walk from the hotel.
We loved everything about the hotel and the people were so friendly and professional. Our room had a sea view terrace which overlooked the beach and the bed was very comfortable and room was immaculate. We ate in the hotel everyday. The breakfast was delightful with a full array of croissants, cheese, eggs and bacon. The breakfast dining area was very inviting and we sat outside and overlooked the beach. The lunch and dinner dining room was more formal, but just as beautiful with pink tablecloths and suberb service. The mozzarella and proscutto was the best. We also ate at the beach restaurant and the food was wonderful. We had drinks in the afternoon and they served olives, chips and nuts with every drink. Nice Touch! I had the grilled seabass which was filleted at the table and served with olive oil and lemon. The bruschetta with the cherry tomatoes was delicious. My husband and I had it everyday. All three of the restaurants overlooked the beach and the weather was 80 degrees everyday. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again. I think it should be a 5 star hotel

Great locationsPosted Sep 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
Only reason I'm not giving it 5/5 is because my bed was pretty uncomfortable, for the price and having 4 stars I expect a bit of a better night sleep. Now for the positives, staff is friendly and helpful, from months before my stay and emailing them to arrange a car service to pick us up and reservations at the restaurant to any questions I had while I was there, super helpful. The view was amazing, we enjoyed just sitting on our balcony in the evening and enjoying a bottle of wine while overlooking the town. Very close to the beach, I recommend going to the beach that is a bit farther down the path though, Spiaggia Fornillo, chairs are cheaper and less kids running around. We did the cooking class, which is 120Euro per person, but well worth it if you like to cook, plus they keep topping you off with prosecco the entire time, then you eat what you made or helped make. And now I know how to make my own pasta and gnocchi! They cleaned your room not once, but twice per day. Since we were showering before dinner, it was nice to come back after dinner with a clean room and fresh towels, then not having to pick up a wet towel off the floor in the morning to use again. Overall great time.

Steps from beachPosted Aug 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
Buca de Bacco has an excellent location in Positano with one warning - cars cannot reach the hotel since it is in a pedestrian zone. There is a porter service with a charge of 5 Euros per bag. The location of the hotel requires climbing up and down many steps so it is not good for those with mobility issues. The hotel is baby and child friendly and has a fantastic breakfast. They make all of their own breads and pastries! The beach is a two minute walk.

Incredible stayPosted Aug 8, 2013
Pros: The hand painted tiles on the floors, the decor, the whole room and the VIEW was unbelievable!!!!!!
Location: Really well located not a far walk to the beach at all. Stunning views everywhere you look. Positano is stunning, picturesqe
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon - it was the best part of our trip. The hotel is truly phenomenal and the staff was incredible, respectful, helpful and on top of everything. Roberta and Mario who are at the front desk went out of there way to ensure we were doing well and were always accommodating and helpful. On our last night they upgraded us to the terrace and it really was the best way to cap off our trip. This hotel is amazing and likely the best on the coast. A GEM!

Beautiful locationPosted Aug 8, 2013
The room would have been improved by the addition of a long mirror and there was little space to put bags etc. But the view was stunning. Might be worth reminding visitors that they need to have their passport with them when they check in!
