“Perfect hotel in the heart of Amalfi”

Great location, wonderful breakfast, superior front desk service. We will definitely stay here again on our next. Trip to the Amalfi Coast!

Area recommendations

We would recommend at least a day trip to Capri. Also, any bus ride on the SITA bus system is an adventure!

“Amalfi's best hotel!”

Hotel Floridiana was amazing. The staff always had a smile on their face and were so helpful. They helped us figure out how to use the public transport to get us back to the airport and gave us dinner recommendations that were spot on every time! One restaurant they recommend is Taverna degli Apostoli next to the Duomo. So delicious! The breakfast is typical european fare, but the breakfast room is beautiful! Internet use was decent, although it did not work one night. The room was very clean and minibar prices were pretty cheap (if you're into that). On our last day it was pouring and they even gave us an umbrella! I can't wait to visit again!

Area recommendations

I loved the Amalfi area. A bit touristy during the day, but we were out most of the time, adn atnight it is very peaceful. We also liked Positano, Atrani, and Capri is worth the day trip (but eat in Anacapri- less busy and a bit cheaper).

Dining

Check out Il Tari: very yummy restaurant. Taverna degli Apostoli is attached to the Duomo (on the left) and even though it is a limited menu, it is soooo good. Try the fresh fish in "crazy water". You won't regret it! I wanted to lick my plate! Gelato was delicious anywhere, but the place that claims to have the "flavors of Amalfi" is a rip off. One evening for two scoops on a cone each (so four scoops) we paid 8 euro total. Then the next day in the afternoon- one scoop each (two total) was 8 euro. WHAT? RIP OFF! Oh, and try the Patisceria (spelling?) Leone. Pastry shop up the road from Hotel Floridiana on the left side of the road (has a green awning). Everything in there was superb. And if you go to Capri, eat up in Anacapri (the higher town on the island)- less busy and a bit cheaper.
