It's just ok. Staff is very nice n helpfulPosted Aug 29, 2014
Staff is extremely nice n helpful, n guided us a lot. We had 2 rooms. One was terribly laid out, n one was ok. U feel u r in a camp not a decent hotel. Cost is too high for the quality u get. Breakfast is limited variety.

Great locationPosted Jun 15, 2014
Fantastic location and easy to find. Hotel staff were so lovely and helpful made the trip that much more pleasant. The aircon did not work at all and the room was very hot and stuffy so we slept with the doors open but were worried about Mosquitos. The hot water was also quite temperamental. Would go back though as it was a good price and location.

Beautiful ViewPosted Jun 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed 3 nights at Bussola and loved our experience. A beautiful sea view greeted us each morning as we opened up our terrace doors and soaked up the sun. We traveled by ferry from Salerno, and the pier was in walking distance from the hotel, as were boats to take you for a day excursion to Capri and other islands. We also attended the Almalfi Musical Opera,( a one hour presentation of how Almalfi came to be), and that was also in walking distance. The service was outstanding. My boyfriend left his credit card at a restaurant in Capri and the manager of our hotel said that his friend goes there every day, and would bring it back with him the next day. This certainly saved us another journey to Capri, and most importantly, peace of mind. The only negative was the noise level outside our room at night. We were on the first floor, above a busy street, on a weekend, and it was very noisy. After the weekend, the noise level calmed down.

Perfect for what I wantedPosted Jun 8, 2014
The Hotel La Bussola is a high quality family owned hotel overlooking the harbour in the village of Amalfi. Perfect location. Off street parking. Free high-speed wi-fi. Spotlessly clean. Fantastic views. Great breakfast. Very helpful front desk team. I advised them that I would be leaving very early on morning of departure and they had thoughtfully brought my car to the front of the hotel ready for me. If I ever go back to that area I would look forward to staying at the hotel again.

Great hotel, awesome view and locationPosted Apr 18, 2014
Pros: Excellent staff, great location and tasty breakfast.
Cons: The bed
We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. The staff were fantastic, the view was brilliant and it was minutes to walk to the main town centre and ferry.

Lovely hotel with great sea viewsPosted Mar 30, 2014
Me and my aunt booked late for a short break in March. La Bussola seemed reasonably priced and well located. The hotel is located right in front of the beach and only a few minutes walk to the town centre and the harbour. The rooms had fantastic sea views and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Rooms were pleasant and airy. We would certainly go back.

Bussola rocked!Posted Nov 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a great stay in Amalfi. We stayed there during the offseason (November) so we escaped a lot of the crowds, but still were able to experience this great little town. The staff at La Bussola were nice, helpful in offering restaurant ideas, tips on hikes to do in the hills above town, and helpful in showing us how to get back to Rome by taking the bus to Salerno and then the high speed train to Rome. Donna Stella pizza was a hit, as were the Gelato shops up and down the main street there from the plaza by the church. We also loved the hikes to Pogerola and the Torre Del Zirro. If you don't mind climbing hundreds of steps, this is a must do. Great time, Great town, great, friendly staff.
