“Stunning view!”

“Beautiful Views.......But that's about the end of it”

The hotel has absolutely breathtaking views, however the hotel is not in great condition and the service is lacking. The elevators are very slow and the shake constantly when you get in them, the beds extremely hard and uncomfortable even by European standards, and there are ants in the room due to plants outside. Additionally the front desk is not helpful and cannot understand English very well

“A great choice for a hectic city.”

This hotel was not in the very heart of Amalif, but was a quick 5-7 minute ride from the hotel. We called the hotel from the port where our boat docked and they sent a man from the hotel to pick us up within 10 minutes! They also provided 5-6 times a day when they would take you to the heart of the town and 5-6 times to bring you back to the hotel. So that was very convenient. The hotel was lovely and the staff was exceptional. Our room had a wonderful balcony overlooking the sea and we could easily see the lights of Amalfi from our lounge chairs. They provided a nice breakfast every morning and we had a great dinner at their restaurant. I would highly recommend going to the Locanda del Marinaio restaurant in Amalfi. We ate their three times! Suggestion: If you want to tip the waiter, pay him/her separately with cash.

Area recommendations

The city Amalif, was congested and touristy, so I would recommend just coming in for a day trip. The weekends are very congested, so a weekday would be best.

“Great view, good rooms, very nice pool!”

The highlight here is the view, as the hotel is right there on a cliff overseeing the ocean! The pool area is very comfortable with chairs and service. They even have a deck where you can access the ocean very easily for a swim. Another PRO on this one is they have a parking lot, something very hard to find in the narrow road of Amalfi Coast

“Awesome view”

After check-in, I was skeptical on how great this 4 star hotel would be but I was impressed. We had an early check-out. We had to catch a 630am train so the hotel called a 5:15 cab for us. The evening before check-out, they delivered to our room, 4 packed breakfasts for us to eat on-the-go. Now that is service. We were so touched and impressed. Def worth the stay. The only downside- which is expected, is the expensive meal prices at the hotel. Go down to town with the Hotel's free shuttle service and enjoy meals there.

“Location, Location, Location!!!!!”

The views were breath taking, from our room , the dining room and pool side. The hotel offered van service to the town center just 5 minutes away. Good idea to leave the car safely parked at the hotel!!. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

There is a Sista public bus line to get to other towns(like Ravello). The front desk has the schedule

“Would go back again in an instant”

From the moment we arrived at the Hotel we felt welcomed by the courteous staff. Our room had the most beautiful views that compare favorably to anything we have had the privilege of seeing throughout our years of travel. Our room was very clean and well appointed. We were so drawn to the hotel and how it was situated on the bluff overlooking the sea and the town of Amalfi, we actually changed our travel plans to enjoy some down time resting on the hotels private platforms built into the rocks that descend first to the hotel pool and then down to the rocks from which we could plunge into the Mediterranean. We had excellent meals at the Hotel, with an attentive staff serving our needs. We would recommend the Miramalfi without hesitation, and we hope to return in the future.

Traveler's tip

If you are travelling from Rome, we took the train to Salerno (about 2 hours). On arrival we walked only about 4-500 yds to the port, and from there took the ferry to Amalfi. Arriving in Amafi by sea was wonderful. The Ferry service down the entire coast is so easily accessible and by taking full advantage we avoided hiring a car.

“Great hotel, much recommended”

Great hotel, friendly staff. The climb from the city to the hotel requires a reasonable physical condition (quite many stairs). Overall, we were very pleased.

Great location and we loved this part of Italy. Romms are large and clean. Staff not especially friendly, and prices at the hotel's restaurant very expensive even for Italy.

“spectacular cliffside hotel”

the view from our hotel room (and I believe every room in this hotel has a similar view) was absolutely spectacular. The hotel clings to a cliff just outside Amalfi and was in every way beautiful. A full American style breakfast was served in the dining room overlooking the water. Best of all, there is a large gated parking lot on top of the hotel, with easy accessibility. Can't wait to go back!
