A wonderful get-away
Posted Jan 14, 2013
Pros: Hanging from the vertical cliff it was like it was willing you into the Sea. An excellent escape from the travails of the world and work.
Cons: It will need a re-fit in the next few years to prevent a decline.
Location: A 10 minute walk from the centre of Amalfi was just about right. Watch out on the bits of road with no pavement!
We drove a hire car from Naples airport to the hotel. What an experience that was! When we arrived as if by magic a porter appeared to direct us to the roof top car park. Best view from a car park I have seen. Throughout the remainder fo our 5 night stay, whether you like it or not, the staff were on hand to provide our every need. The barman with our pre-dinner drinks, whether at the Hotel or before a walk down the hill into Amalfi, was particularly sociable with very good English. We had a neighbouring pair of double rooms (one for my wife and myself, next door for my daughter) with uninterrupted view of the Sea. I would very happily stay there again.

Beautiful views, not so good service
Posted Jan 12, 2012 on Hotels.com
The views are outstanding, the service not so much. We wound up with a very crabby lady working the front desk and it unfortunately made a big difference in how we viewed the hotel. The shuttle service barely runs in november to get to town and traveling with an older mom, she had a hard time walking down to the town at night and back with the crazy cars zooming by. Not to mention the restaurant wasn't open so we couldn't eat dinner and they never warned us it was closed so we went to bed hungry. The curtains, bed linens are very outdated but the tiling on the floor was beautiful as were the views. Overall an ok stay. Would have felt alot better if we didn't have such a mean lady working the front desk.

Unbelievable views and very helpful staff!

The Miramalfi Hotel was a beautiful hotel with outstanding views! The staff was extremely helpful as soon as we arrived. As driving and parking along the Amalfi Coast is difficult to say the least, their staff took care of our bags and parking arrangement as soon as we got there. They offer shuttle service to and from town which was great. And they made great recommendations for my husband and I. It was a fabulous 25th wedding anniversary!

Great location on the water.

Pros: being able to swim in the Meditteranean right at the hotel. Great little snack bar there. Spacious clean rooms, though a bit worn.
Cons: air conditioning didn't work very well.
Location: Great location. Walk to Amalfi center, bus to Ravello, boat to Capri. Also a free shuttle to Amalfi.
An excellent location... close enought to walk into Amalfi. Great location on the water so you can actually swim in the Med, plus they also have a pool. It would be nice if they kept the swimming areas open later than 6pm. All the rooms have balconies....which was a very nice touch. Hotel was a bit worn, but clean and staff was helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and plan to return.

Very beautiful location, directly overlooking the sea, no road noise. Shuttle service to Amalfi could be better.

Breathtaking view, along with fantastic service

We had a 5 night stay at Miramalfi in August. First of all, as many reviews have mentioned, the view from the rooms is breathtaking. In addition to that the staff, the cliffside decks, and the general ambiance made it all that much better. We were well taken care of by Gabriella, who greeted us every day with a smile. We felt like were were staying with relatives rather than hotel staff. Loved everything about the hotel.

Great location and spectacular view
Posted Jan 3, 2012 on Hotels.com
I booked the Miramalfi for my daughter & me after reviewing several options. I had some concerns about the service & restaurant after reading some reviews. We, however, found the hotel to be delightful; our room was perfect and had a spectacular view. The staff was wonderful and the service excellent, both at the front desk and in the restaurant. We were there during peak season. Alfonso and the reception desk were very helpful & accommodating; they helped set up two different tours (Capri & Pompei/Vesuvius), which I would highly recommend. We walked to & from Amalfi nearly every day (~10-15 minutes & it is uphill from the town). We enjoyed Amalfi and the surrounding towns as well. I would definitely go back to this hotel.

Lovely hotel. Great friendly service. 10 min walk into town but acceptable distance.
