“Recommend Hotel Raito - Amalfi Coast”

Great hotel with lots of amenities. Nice, large pool; great terrace bar with beautiful views. This hotel is large and has a lot of different, beautiful spaces that seems to be rented out for events – We saw two brides and a birthday party complete with the best fireworks I’ve ever seen and a fire dancer. As a guest, you can get entrance to the spa, which includes a Turkish bath, showers, steam room & sauna. Has free self-parking and is a good home-base for visiting various Amalfi Coast towns. (Over five days we visited we visited Vietri Sul Mare, Salerno, Agropoli, Cilento, Minori, Ravello, Amalfi and Positano.) Room & shower were a little small but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast included. Free Internet access via computers in lobby. Recommend having a car. The hotel is set up the hill from the closest little town (Vietri Sul Mare) so it’s not really walking distance from the shops & restaurants. I believe the hotel had shuttle service and the town has buses but we were glad we had our own car. I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again in the future.

“Magnificent site - outstanding views of the surroundings”

The beautiful Hotel Raito needs to refine the attitude of their front desk staff to reflect a more friendly and gracious commitment to their guests. We were disappointed that English was not spoken well by important members of their service personnel. We had to request air conditioning during an unusually hot spell that was present at the time of our visit. The television did not provide adequate coverage of world events and wi-fi should be available all over the entire hotel as is in most five-star hotels. We had to take the shuttle bus to town in order to buy Euros. The elevator certainly was unreliable and a problem to the guests as well as the staff. The focus of the hotel is on area weddings and not on the satisfaction of the hotel guests. On our tour, we were in seven hotels. The Raito was among the most beautiful but was sorely lacking in certain areas.

“100% Picture Perfect”

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Raito for a week in mid March, which is the low season. It was absolutely beautiful. The staff was helpful and very friendly. The rooms were clean comfortable and well decorated, the view from our balcony of the town of Vietri Sul Mare and the Bay was second to none. All the amenties are ultra modern. We felt like the Hotel Raito was our home at the end of each day. When we return to the Amalfi Coast again, I would book a stay here above any other option.

“Dream view in a hotel of luxury.”

The view from the room of the Amalfi coast towns of Vietre Su Mare and Salermo was magnificent. The hotel is pure luxury. Great staff although English was not perfect they were focused on Service. Pool is beautiful and the town is charming. A little difficult to get to. We rented a car and had no problems just off the A3 highway from Naples (minutes from the exit.)

“A jewel in the rough”

The Ratio is a beautiful facility although you really need a car to enjoy the area. Salerno is nothing to write home about

“Good Overall but Rent a Car”

The hotel itself was very nice. The room was very clean and well kept, and the food at the restaurant was pricey but good. The view is spectacular. Since we did not rent a car, we had to use a taxi, bus, or the hotel shuttle to get to the nearest town/train station. Although we booked the shuttle, and were told that we would have it at a certain time, the shuttle departure was delayed repeatedly and we were not notified. This left us standing outside, by the shuttle, until I found out it would be departing an hour after we scheduled it. When the shuttle is running properly, it is very convenient, although the vehicle itself has seen better days and is severely dented. Overall, I would recommend the hotel, but rent a car.

“Great view, but explore other options.”

Especially for a new hotel, many things weren't operational when we got there. Staff was mainly indifferent except the spa staff who were great. The nicer restaurant is ridiculous, eat in the bar area if you must but optimally get a cab and go out. In short, beautiful view but not much else. The opinion of all four persons in our group was: stay in Positano longer!!!
