This is a really special hotel. Family owned for three generations. The rooms are gorgeous - each one appointed with artistic touches. The daily breakfast (built into the room rate) is divine. It is nearby lots of local restaurants and cocktail bars and cooking schools. Highly recommended. Would definitely stay again. Also - tea and coffee facilities in the room!!!

This was a lovely property. The room was spacious and our patio looked out towards Positano and the view was amazing but the real stunner was when you walked out to have breakfast and the view was just breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were all so kind.

Hotel acomodations were great, very quiet and clean. However, I believe the property could provide better information on what activities and or sites available around the property. For example there is a beach that you can walk from the hotel, we were lucky to walk around and discovered it, otherwise we would not even know that there was beach near the hotel. There are also quite a few resturants and cafes near the hotel that the do not provide information about.

This lovely hotel in Praiano is relatively close to Positano. We actually appreciated the location vs. Positano which is just insane during peak season. Tramonto is a beautiful property, perched on the cliff going down to the sea, with a rooftop pool and just amazing views. The hotel staff is super friendly and helpful, we really appreciated all of their advice in navigating the area, which can be challenging. They have on-site parking which is key if you plan to drive. It is certainly not cheap but that is understandable given we went during peak season and booked relatively late. I assume if you can book earlier you are likely to get a better rate. Really great breakfast too, and did I mention the views are amazing!

This hotel is beautiful. I was very impressed. The views from the pool and restaurant are incredible. The included breakfast was outstanding. The staff were very helpful and kind. I will definitely be staying here again.

We vacationed here for a few days with friends and my boyfriend before we headed to an italian wedding. This was by far the best place we've stayed. Absolutely stunning views, accomodating service, and overall impeccable stay. We MUST come back again! Grazie!

This is a beautiful hotel with a great ocean view. Very clean rooms. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. The staff very friendly but wish the front office staff would have told us about the transportation to Positano and Amalfi Coast by Bus rather than giving the impression we had to take a taxi which was very pricey.

We had a nice stay at Hotel Tramonto. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. If you're looking for a quiet place in the coast this is a great option but there really isn't much around so just be prepared for that. Our room was really nice and the view at the hotel is also really nice. The one thing was the pool wasn't as nice as the photos depict but at least there was something to cool off in.

We LOVED staying here. The views were unbelievable, the staff was so friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. We enjoyed being just outside Positano where it wasnt quite as busy but the views were equally spectacular, if not better. I highly recommend this hotel.

Very well managed hotel. Staff extremely helpful, each time we had any kind of request (transportation, reservations, etc) they would carefully take notes in a small notebook and do everything in their power to arrange everything. The room was super clean, great sea view. Food was also delicious, great (free) breakfast. Definitely recommend.

My wife and I stayed at the Tramonto D'Oro for five nights and loved it. The hotel staff is incredible and we found out that ownership now spans four generations. They make you feel like family and their pride in ownership really shows in every detail of the operation. The views are amazing and the restaurant is first-class. If your travels take you to the Amalfi Coast, you will enjoy the Tramonto D'Oro!

This hotel is located in Praiano, which gives a beautiful view of Positano without the business. The hotel was lovely, clean, fresh, well maintained. We originally got a room with just a window, but upon arriving and seeing it (it was almost a skylight, so far it was by the ceiling). We then asked to be transferred to a balcony room. Lucky us they had it available for an extra $60 per night. Balcony was a game changer. This is a family owned hotel and the owner lives there as well- lovely people.

Hotel Tramonto d’Oro is a hidden jem. It’s a beautiful family owned and run hotel. The rooms are very nice. The breakfast is excellent and views amazing. The dinner is epic. Food awesome. They made a big celebration of my daughters birthday which was so kind. They also arranged a day boat trip and dinner reservations. Fantastic time!!

Staying here was not our initial plan, but I couldn’t be happier that we ended up at the Hotel Tramonto D’Oro. The hotel has some of the most gorgeous views of Positano, Capri, and the Amalfi Coast in general. You can enjoy these views while enjoying the complimentary (and delicious) breakfast buffet, eating lunch or dinner at the restaurant, or having your daily aperitivo on the rooftop. Bonus: the aperitivo comes with a small antipasto that was delicious, and the rooftop staff was very happy to make whatever drink we asked to seem special; even my basic vodka soda was served with flair. Every single employee we spoke with was kind, helpful, and pleasant. The first room we booked was too small for us, so we asked to move to a larger room, and the staff was very quick and efficient to accommodate our request. They even moved our luggage for us while we enjoyed an incredible lunch at the hotel’s restaurant. The room we moved into had the most gorgeous views which we enjoyed from sunrise to sunset, and the room itself was perfectly appointed such that we didn’t need to ask for a single item once there. I can’t stress enough the beauty of this place, and the kindness of the owner and staff. It was a perfect stay, and more than worth the already very reasonable price. I hope we are able to return someday!

Stayed for three nights (mid May), turned out to be a very wet month here in Amalfi coast but the staff here were like sunshine. Made us feel right at home. Excellent rooms, clean and great view of positano (which is probably the best way to see Positano from far :) ). Did not get to use the swimming cause of the rains. Excellent breakfast and room service. We booked last minute and thought we got a great deal.

Roberta and staff were exceptional. They helped us coordinate transportation, activities, and gave us a wonderful upgrade after we had a terrible experience with a cab driver from Naples to Amalfi Coast. The property was gorgeous, over looks the sea & the mountains, it was very clean, quiet, beds were comfortable, and the restaurant were within walking distance. The town is located in between Positano & Amalfi. You are able to visit both one one day by bus or car. We highly recommended staying at this hotel and would stay here again the next time we visit

Gorgeous hotel with magical views
Hotel Tramonto d'Oro is a dream! Nestled on top of a cliff, on one side you look out at a gorgeous church on the seaside and on the other, you see the most beautiful coastline including Capri and Positano. The rooms are gorgeous and the showers/bathrooms were incredible. Nothing can beat the breakfast buffet out on the terrace. The staff was super friendly and helpful as well. Thank you for an amazing visit!

I was so happy that they upgraded our room. We were there for Easter not many people but our view was beautiful! The hotel and rooms are amazing. This was our favorite stay in Italy. Rooms are big and beautiful. I was sad the pool was closed and rooftop but it was cold around this time. Overall we had a great time

This family owned Boutique Hotel was everything I imagined based on previous reviews . My husband and I felt welcomed as if we were a friend of the family. The views are Spectacular and the location is extremely convenient to get to the surrounding areas on the Amalfi. We will definitely be back.

This is a fantastic location with a wonderful view. We initially wanted to stay in Positano. This hotel was a second choice. However if I return I will definitely come and stay at this hotel. The peace and quiet is so refreshing. The food was excellent. The staff provided exemplary service. Truly a five star facility.

This hotel and its staff are tremendous. We had such a great stay. The owner, Carmella and her staff are so friendly and accommodating and look after your every need. Praiano is out of the hustle and bustle but a 5-10 minute cab ride from Positano and the adjacent Amalfi Coast. Hotel Tramonto d'Oro has a view that is without comparison. Needless to say I would only stay at this hotel while on the Amalfi Coast. We lucked up on this hotel and I am so glad that we did. Robert Brown
