“FABULOUS!!! This hotel is an experience.”

“excellent amalfi hotel”

Services in the hotel are outstanding! Worths its money value. Amalfi downtoown is 5 min drive (free shuttle providedby the hotel). Private beach and swimming pool are very clean. One downside is limited restaurants options in the hotel and within walking distnce.

Getting there

The closest train station to Amalfi is Salerno. From there you can take bus, ferry, or taxi. I recommend taking taxi eventhough it is the most expensive option. It will take about 1 hour driving, but at least the taxi will drop you off right infront of your hotel. You really don't want to carry your bags walking along the narrow costal road.

“Can't wait to return!”

This was one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. The views are breathtaking and the ambiance is utterly incredible. It's about 6 kilometers from the actual town of Almalfi, which I loved because it was the perfect distance away from the touristy area! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Almalfi.

Area recommendations

If your looking to stay away from the tourist trap, don't go to the town of Almalfi. I would recommend anywhere north along the coastline.

“A five star - "Really"?”

I've stayed in a lot of four and five star hotels and this is not one of them. As most people have said, it is old and tired with many if not all of the amenities missing from what you consider a five star hotel. The location is not ideal and if you read the reviews, you know this but the shuttle service is limited and when you're stranded at the hotel there should be more than one option for dinner that starts at 7:30 PM. I paid for and used the internet which was as slow as dial up from the eighties. Again when you're stranded and want to spend a little time in your room, give the visitor more options on the TV than BBC and CNN for English channels. This hotel has missed the boat in becoming a nice customer friendly hotel with some amenities for people that want to enjoy the hotel. When you're at the beach why not have a couple of servers come around to take your order. Why not have services at the hotel that would make you want to stay at the hotel. Why not have amenities like ironing board, coffee maker, tea pot, robes, and slippers - you know, the things that make a five star hotel a five star hotel. As you can tell, I was very disappointed coming from the Artemide hotel in Rome (four star) where you are treated very well and have the service you expect to the Il Sarcenco is is much more like a three star.

“The World's BEST view”

“Spring on the Amalfi coast.”

Beautiful view. Clean, comfortable hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Unfortunately too far away from town of Amalfi. Hotel shuttle went once per hour, but not in the afternoon. Also, parking very scarce in Amalfi.

“Romantic Resort on the Amalfi Coast”

Il Saraceno was a fabulous resort located on it's own private cove on the Amalfi Coast. The service was phenomenal and the food was excellent. The resort is built into the cliffs overlooking the beautiful, blue sea. Our room was large and comfortable. There were several weddings at the resort while we were there. It would be an ideal location for a wedding. There is a private chapel and various decks and dining rooms for the celebration. We took a boat ride to Capri directly from our resort and it was a quick drive to Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello. The hotel looks just like the pictures posted on the website! We would definitely recommend this resort.

“You have to visit this place!”

This is the perfect hotel to stay in! The beach, service, rooms, food, You name it its one of a kind! Me and my wife stayed there for a week, and there is not one bad thing i can say about it! Use the shoutle from the hotel to amalfi, its free and you dont have to look for the parking in town.

“Beautiful view and terrace”

And very good restaurant. Large sprawling gorunds with lovely landscaping. In June, there was a wedding everyday. At first this is quaint. It gets to be a bother over time. Small elevators. Convenient shuttle to Amalfi but stops at 8 pm.Helpful staff. Decent breakfast.
