Couldn't fault this hotel especially for the price we paid. Had a pleasant stay and look forward to returning at some point in the future.

Views, Views, Views!Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: Grounds and views.
Cons: Meal options could be improved. Rooms were noisy, We had to change rooms because there was an event going on above us, and it was noisy.
Location: Location was not that great. Very difficult getting around.
This area is amazing, once you get past the fear of going off the cliff in your taxi before you get there! Breathtaking views everywhere! Hotel was amazing! Every turn was another picture taking opportunity. Location was a little troubling. I felt trapped. The only real option was to take a shuttle to Amalfi, but they only ran 6 or 7 times a day on the hour. So going to Amalfi by shuttle would mean catching the last shuttle at 8pm to get back. There are always taxi's but we did not feel that adventurous. Restaurant was nice, elegant but it was the same menu for the entire time of our stay. There was a restaurant that you could get to from the beach via a boat taxi which seemed nice. Pool was ok, Beach was nice. A little tricky walking in the pebble sand, but the water was beautiful.

Bill & Emma's Il Saraceno adventure in AmalfiPosted Jun 2, 2015
Cons: Not much.
Location: See above
Easy to find. Incredible location on Amalfi Coast about 2 km outside Amalfi. 8x day free shuttle into Amalfi & pickup makes it nice....plus incredibly easy to arrange daytrips by bus to Positano, Ravello, etc or by boat to Capri, etc. Very nice restaurant for dinner, great free breakfast buffet and bar at hotel's own very nice private beach area. WORST & BEST THING ABOUT OUR STAY. Worst--our rental car had a complete electrical malfunction while it was parked at Il Saraceno. Best--Roanaldo at front desk took total control of our rental car issue. Called rental car company who gave him info on tow truck company to use. Then Roanaldo arranged for a personal driver (friend of the hotel's) to take us to Naples airport to finish paperwork on rental car and then take us to our next hotel. Without Roanaldo, we would have been up a creek but he handled it seamlessly. EVERYTHING about Il Saraceno was grand....and wait til you see the views.

Beautiful hotel in a picturesque settingPosted May 27, 2015
Pros: Personality, beautiful location and large bedroom with a very comfortable bed, big bathroom and a large spa bath.
Cons: A shuttle service to local restaurants would be great. They do offer a boat sometimes, depending on the weather.
Location: Definitely come by car or bike as getting around on foot is very tricky. It is do-able but not ideal.
We stayed here for 2 nights and had a sea view room which was wonderful. The hotel looks like a medieval castle, with loads of lovely ornaments, statues and chairs dotted around. The pool looks over the cliff to the sea, which made for another stunning view.

Hübsches Hotel in guter Lage mit eigenen Strand.Posted May 25, 2015
Pros: Siehe oben!
Sehr freundlicher Service!

Great LocationPosted May 13, 2015
Pros: The hotel grounds were impeccable. Location was perfect for those who plan to visit towns in addition to Amalfi (Positano, Furore, Conca, Sorrento, et
Cons: It may have been the American in me, but the bartender and restaurant staff weren't very welcoming. That being said, all other employees were great.
Location: Great location, private beach, shuttle service to Amalfi, close to Fiordo di Furore and Conca dei Marini
We stayed here for a week on our honeymoon. At first I was a little hesitant about the distance to Amalfi town (close, but not exactly walking distance). After visiting the town, I was very pleased that Saraceno was somewhat off the beaten path. In addition, Bar Baglio Wine Bar & Lounge is just steps away and have great food, drinks, and hospitality. This came in handy when we were looking for something quick and easy (they are open until 10pm). If you are up for it, I highly recommend renting a scooter from Salvatore at Amalfi Scooter Rental. We were wasting a lot of valuable time waiting for buses and shuttles to get to various destinations and this gave us the ability to get around town more efficiently (and a better all around experience). Another MUST SEE is Fiordo di Furore just 5-10 minutes from the hotel. It is a picturesque cove of water with very little tourist traffic. There is a nice bar/restaurant on the beach as well. The village of Conca dei Marini is just a stones throw from the Saraceno beach. It doesn't look like much, but you will be pleasantly surprised if you stroll down from the main road (1-2 minutes from Saraceno). There is a small sign at the top of the stairs advertising the beach and restaurants (very easy to miss). After walking down the stairs you will meander through historic buildings and end up on the beach which is home to three restaurants. We ate at Ristorante da Michele and were very impressed (good prices/gave extras without charging).
