Room with a viewPosted Nov 1, 2013
Pros: Location, view from room, staff and breakfast
Location: Located in the middle of Positano, day trips to Capri and other Amalfi locations
If you don't mind walking up and down alot of steps, this hotel is for you. The rooms have excellent views of the Amalfi Coast, wonderful staff, especially Rosita and Nicoli and the hotel is ideally located in Positano. Rooms 201, 203 and 204 are on the main floor of the hotel and have excellent view of the sea. The included breakfast was excellent.

Nice viewPosted Aug 31, 2013
Friendly and clise to the beach and central area of Positano. We were there for our honeymoon and the large balcony with magnificent views made it extra special for us.

Almost perfect!Posted Aug 4, 2013
Hotel in a fantastic location, but you have to take many many many stairs to get there. There is a parking available for the hotel at 25 euros per night. There is also a valet service. The valet can also bring your luggage to the hotel (I would recommend to use it...way too many stairs!). Owner welcomed us upon arrival and offered us a special room (we had mentionned at time of reservation it was our honeymoon). Room was nicer, but we would have had to pay more, so didn't take it (honestly, we were disappointed to not have been upgraded at no extra cost because we were upgraded at every other hotel we had booked during our 2 week vacation). She gave us a map of Positano and recommended 3 restaurants and a place to eat gelato. The Next2 restaurant was incredible, the restaurant La Terra not so much (food great but lacked service). She offered us a private boat tour for Capri, but no space available for the day we wanted. Had to insist to get her to call other companies, but none had a boat available. Had to book it on our own. There was a tub in the room with a shower head, but not shower curtain. So, everytime we took a shower, we flooded the bathroom. Fortunately, they came every night and morning to change all towels. View on the sea was incredible. When we asked for a bucket of ice for some champagne, got olives and nuts as a bonus.

Southern Italy RelaxationPosted Jun 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
After two weeks crammed on a tour bus it was the perfect way to relax. Miramare is based about 250 or so stairs above the beach of Positano the view over the beach from my balcony was fantastic and the service was great. Rosita was the beautiful concierge who greated me and consistently filled me in with helpful facts about the area and restaurants that I should try out. Very helpful when travelling by yourself. If staying in Positano keep in mind that you will not avoid the stairs unless you stay at a hotel on one of the roads leading in. This wasn't an issue for me as I needed to walk off all the amazing food that I consumed. You do also have to keep in mind that Positano itself is very much a tourist destination. Items can be expensive especially if you shop by the beach. But it is also a main port to access a lot of the islands and attractions in the area. Overall my stay was fantastic and I would happily visit Hotel Miramare if I ever returned.

Great location with excellent viewsPosted Jun 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed at Miramare for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The hotel is just above the main town of Positano. It is high enough where you get a great view but close enough so you do not have to walk very far. The ferry to Amalfi and Capri are just below the hotel. I would recommend this hotel

Great staffPosted Jun 16, 2013
Pros: Rosita was so warm and friendly, and planned our days and meals perfectly.
I thought the location of the hotel was great, if you are ok to walk up 211 steps from the main part where the beach is. The staff was very helpful is planning our days and meals. The room was a little small, but the balcony was amazing.

Charming hotel in the perfect localePosted Jun 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
Spent 3 nights at the Miramare and were very impressed with this gorgeous little hotel. The manager Rosita gave us the warmest of welcomes and was very helpful plying us with the latest info on local restaurants and excursions. The room was very roomy, comfortable and quiet, and the view from our balcony was breathtaking. The Miramare is perfectly situated midway between the beach and the main (cafe lined) road into town. Only room for improvement was the somewhat patchy wifi (worked best in the breakfast room and adjoining lounge) but this was by no means a deal breaker. Gorgeous, great value and we will definitely be back!!!

Romantic Get AwayPosted Jun 5, 2013
Pros: Scale and elegance of the room
Cons: As with every European Hotel I have ever stayed at - not enough drawers or sufficient reading light.
Location: On a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean.
Large old world room furnished with antiques and a lovely terrace overlooking the sea.
