“Rave about the Palumbo in Ravello”

The Palumbo Hotel is an enchanting masterpiece. Every minute is a feast for the senses. The decor was superb and the staff was very accommodating. It is in a very good location, and there is a charming little cafe next door. I would definetely return to this hotel if I am lucky enough to go back to Ravello some day.

“Older than I expected”

“Not Impressed”

The hotel is old and tired! It is a 5 Star Hotel but they should take 3 Stars away. Very expensive and not worth the money! I stayed there 4 Times over 30 years and since Pasquale (the father of the present owner) died 5 years ago , the hotel has steadily raced to the bottom !

Steps from the main square of Piazza Vescovado lead to the cathedral of San Pantaleone dont miss the fine marble pulpits. Two villas in lovely gardens also deserve a visit. Villa Rufolo holds a summer festival of classical concerts. The belvedere views from the English-style gardens of the Villa Cimbrone are breathtaking.
