Way beyond my expectations!

This is an excellent choice for staying in Ravello! Wonderful view and breakfast but best of all Giuseppe the owner was incredibly helpful when asked and he leaves you to your privacy when you want your downtime. For example: I mentioned I needed to leave very early in the morning to get to Naples and I was not looking forward to that winding bus trip back. Giuseppe offered to drive me to Naples, saving me time for a very reasonable offer. At least half of what a hired car would have cost. The view of the sea from the terrace is incredible and there are countless walks just off any of the staircases if you are willing to hike it back up or take the bus up. The stairs to the B&B were not a big deal. One of the highlights of my trip was staying here!

Rave about Ravello Rooms

Posted Nov 7, 2012
Pros: View
Cons: Leaving
Location: The best
drove to ravello and had a little trouble finding ravello rooms but completely worthwhile as our room was a good size and the view spectacular. Guiseppe was the best host with great friendly advise, great coffees and lovely breakfasts. Our 4 days there went all to fast. Highly recommend. There are a few stairs to climb but there are stairs everywhere.

Not worth the money

We stayed at Ravello Rooms for 2 nights during our 8 days touring the Amalfi Coast. This was the most expensive place we stayed and the least worth it. The room we stayed at “Magnolia” was dark and musty. I was so surprised that we paid almost two hundred a night and our bathroom had mold on the walls. The room had no windows and no ventilation, at night we had to open the door to get air in. We were extremely disappointed also to find out that you have to make your own breakfast using a coffee machine in your room… we were expecting a nice home made breakfast in the morning. Guiseppe’s office near our room did not help since he was checking out a guest the first morning we were there and there conversation woke us up. Totally not worth the money unfortunately his cancellation policy did not allow us to cancel the second night after we got there and saw what we were getting for our money.

This was a small family run B&B about 10 minutes walk from the town center with a lovely terrace and a beautiful view of the coast. This does not come at no cost as the climb up the steps from the main road is not for everyone. Maddalena was great, breakfast was fresh and tasty and she helped with all our questions and recommended good places to eat. Try Salvatore for an upscale, nuova cucina dining experience . Unfortunately, we never met Giuseppe, though he was always available and he guided us in by phone. The rainbow we saw on our first day must have been an omen of the good things to come.

What A Gem!

Totally enjoyed Revello Rooms. There are just four wonderful modern rooms that are attached to the owner's home. Very private. One of my big concerns because I was traveling by myself was getting from Amalfi to Ravello with a heavy bag. The owner offered to pick me up for a reasonable fee. Breakfast is a help yourself so you don't have to wake up early. You can enjoy yourself sitting under the lemon trees on a patio that has a "take your breath away" view.... I got lost in Ravello and the owner found me and drove me back. I was lucky to be there during The Feast of St. Christi. Staying at Ravello Rooms enhanced the experience of understanding the real lives and culture of Italy.
