Best view in town!Posted Oct 26, 2013
Pros: The view, the outdoor areas, the modern furnishings, the friendly owner.
Cons: Nothing - as the steps cannot be changed.
Location: The Amalfi Coast is picture postcard perfect, enjoy the views, or as we did, walk in the hills behind the coast for hundreds of differing views.
We really enjoyed our stay because this hotel has the best view in town. But there were other good things too: an outdoor patio and table for outdoor meals and drinks, modern furnishings and a well equipped kitchen. There is a drawback... 140 steps to the front door (plus about 300m), but how else are you going to get that view? We suggest that after carrying your suitcases up, you stay at least 4 nights (as we did) and really enjoy the results.

great value lots of stepsPosted Jun 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
the residence we got was very clean and well serviced with micro wave fridge and great view of amalfi. but to get it and the sea view rooms be warned you will have to carry your bags up those 147 steps..so you need to be non cardiac material.

Beautiful fresh clean accommodationPosted Sep 11, 2012
Pros: The view from our room
Cons: Carrying our luggage up all the stone stairs
Location: Great location to look out over the town of Amalfi
The apartment was newly refurbished. It catered for our needs most adequately. Maybe some cereal bowls for us Aussies who eat cereal in the mornings. The view from the balcony was amazing. Loved the town of Amalfi. We would stay there again. The only draw back was carrying our luggage up a lot of stairs to get to our beautiful apartment.

Fantastic view and close to townPosted May 21, 2012 on Hotels.com
Our apartment was very tiny but it had everything we needed. The kitchen appliances were all clean and modern. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was very small but the shower worked ok so that was fine. The view was spectacular. It was great to be self-catering. We enjoyed going to buy food in the village (great shops!) and cooking it ourselves. The only negative was that the room wasn't ready when we arrived and we had to wait until 3pm (!) for it to be cleaned. It was also very hard to find where to check in and the booking information could have been clearer ie. you have to go to Hotel Amalfi to check in, so don't bother looking for a sign that says "Casamalfi" - you'll never find it. Otherwise everything was great.

Quiet, spacious room in AmalfiPosted Oct 20, 2010
Great deal! A large room with a table and chairs as well as the bed and an adorable kitchen in a cabinet arrangement that was just fine for a short stay- two burner stove, small fridge, and sink with pots, pans, and utensils. Even if you don't cook it's great for picnic breakfast and lunch. There is a restaurant just below so it is a little noisy at night, but hey! You're in Amalfi and it's part of the old town scene. The owner was gracious and helpful and we would be delighted to stay here again.
