Villa Maria Luigia

Excellent location over looking the amalfi coast. close enough to walk to amalfi town and just a couple hundred yards from a public beach if you are ok with walking down 400 steps. local bar and pizzaria 300 yards up the road that has a terrace overlooking the sea. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Villa Maria Luigia is a beautiful B&B located approximately one km above Amalfi town (in the Positano direction). We had a gorgeous, spacious room with a balcony looking out over the sea. Everything was immaculately clean (and consistently kept so), and the staff was very friendly and always ready to answer any questions we had about the town and surroundings. The breakfasts featured delicious, fresh pastries and coffee made to order and are served on a sunny veranda with an amazing sea view. The only thing you need to know before booking this hotel is that the distance to town includes a significant climb, and requires you to walk on a fairly congested road and navigate many stairs. Taking it easy, it will take you about 20 minutes to get down to town, and slightly longer to get back up. Buses run this route during the day but can be very congested. A taxi from town will cost you 15 Euros a trip. If you are okay with the walk, then this hotel is perfect for you.
