Good hotel

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Clean, comfortable rooms. Helpful desk clerk. Enjoyed the stay but it would sure be nice if they had an elevator available for the second floor. This hotel is stairs only. (There are only 2 floors.) Still it can be difficult if you're older to lug baggage upstairs.

The hotel is great is located close to I-40. The hotel staff has helped me to shift my night 1 day earlier and accommodated me nicely. Thanks to the great and helpful staff. I always recommend Best Western everywhere I go.

Traveling Through

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: The price. There is an area to walk dogs.
Cons: Some modern upgrades would be useful.
Location: Big Texan Steak House, Cadillac Ranch
We were traveling through Amarillo and stayed here for one night. The motel was comfortable and the price was right. Nothing fancy, but comfortable.

Close to all stuff and canyon

Bed was hard but room was fine. Pool was real blue and had stuff floating on top like an oil..kids still liked it...that's all that matters. Breakfast was the usual.

Last Resort Hotel

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: The hotel staff were very pleasant.
Cons: This hotel needs a serious make-over.
Location: The hotel is in close proximity to the hospital, gas station, fast food, and the highway.
Usually, I know I can count on a Best Western to be decent. Unfortunately, I was severely disappointed. To begin, I had a second floor room, and there was no elevator. So, I had to carry my luggage up a flight of stairs, and then drag it back down the next day. Secondly, the carpets throughout the hotel were so old and rancid looking that I refused to walk anywhere, including inside my room, without shoes on... even to the bathroom in the middle of the night. There was mold in the grout and the wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom. The shower curtain felt gunky, and I wished I had packed some sort of shower shoes. The curtains were very thick, and blocked out the city lights well. However, they also blocked the cool air coming out of the jet engine noise of the the air conditioner, so the room was like a sauna all night. I did have several pillows of different firmness levels, but the bed was so hard that I was unable to get comfortable, despite being surrounded by them. The hotel staff were the only saving grace for this Best Western. Don't stay here unless it is your last resort.

Pool and hot tub. Wi-fi

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: The staff tried to assist and were pleasant.
Location: Location is sorta OK, it is across the street from a medical center...be ready for sirens.
The pool and hot tub were both out of order. The Wi-Fi, was in super slow mode during our entire stayl
