Sorry we couldn't stay longer

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable pillows on the bed! I'd like to get pillows like that for our home!
Cons: A microwave in the room along with the mini-fridge.
Location: We were just passing through, didn't stop to do things in Amarillo.
We arrived late after a long drive and had to leave early the next morning, but we found the room extremely comfortable and welcome.

Convenient for travelers

The hotel is older but they are working to update. Room with a king was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was ok but could use a little variety.

Renovation overdue

Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: Dog friendly -- but $10 (really should waive this by now as more hotels offer free options).
Cons: Gut the hotel and renovate and replace all carpets and windows to begin with - noise from highway, dirty worn carpets....
Location: Palo Duro canyon to the south and the flint national monument to the north. Big Texan for a dining experience you will not soon forget.
The facility is old and really is way overdue for a renovation. Can't believe the TV is still the big clunky type with the tube! Haven't seen one since ... a junkyard? The desk staff is really nice but the room, general areas, and everything else about the facility really need to be gutted out and redo. It's just dirty, wore, and outdated.

Nice hotel

Posted Mar 31, 2014
The hotel staff was so friendly. We had to stay an extra night and they were so accommodating and gave us the same rate even though we booked thru expedia. The highway noise was very loud, but I would still stay here again because of the staff!

Old but clean

Posted Feb 26, 2014
Room is clean. Breakfast is okay - eggs, waffles, biscuit and gravy, toast & muffins. The area to get the food is very small. The eggs tastes powdery - I saw they just cook them in the microwave in a plastic bowl. The muffins are heated in the microwave. So if you don't eat it right away, it turns into cardboard. Hotel has a strange smell to it - like old musky odor and laundry soap. Overall it's not bad for one night stay, but I wouldn't stay longer.

Excellent Stay for the Price!!!!!!

We stayed overnight for a family New Year's Eve/Day outing. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone. Staff was great, location was great, very, very clean and comfortable rooms, pet friendly and easily accessible. There was an I-Hop right next door in the same parking lot, a Wal-Mart about 5 minutes away and a Denny's (great customer service and food as well I might add) right across the highway from our stay.
