Must like pets

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: Staff
Cons: Keep one floor as a no pet zone.
Location: Good location with restaurants close by.
The staff was wonderful. I am not real fond of pets in a hotel. I had dogs bark at me while walking into the hotel. The was poop on the side walk by back exit door. Lots of dogs in lobby. My room was clean and comfortable. Great hotel if you are looking for pet friendly.

The hotel was nice, room nice and aloud pets, but the are lacking in security. I had items stolen out of my truck and there were several other that had items taken.

Less than what was expected

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Location and parking was the best thing I can say about my stay.
Cons: Hotel is starting to show it age and needs some work.
Check in and the staff was great. The first problem we had was that we found out there are still hotels with smoking rooms with which is what we ended up with but made due as the hotel was full. The second problem was that the AC did not work when we got into the room but was fixed shortly after we went to dinner. It worked decently till it got dark then I guess it got a second wind during the night as the room was nice and cool when I woke up. The third problem was cleaning was not done very well as we found a used wash rag on the top of the shower curtain. Last problem we discovered during the night as the wife and I kept ending up in the middle of the bed as it seemed the support had given way in some fashion as we kept rolling to the middle.

We stayed one night here as we were passing through amarillo on our way home and I would highly recommend it. Good price, free breakfast, very clean, conveniently located off I-40 and pet friendly.

great pet friendly retreat from the road

I have stayed at the Drury Inn Amarillo 4 times now with my 2 large Goldens. Every time we have been greeted like they are glad to see us. My Goldens are very comfortable there, they seem to look forward to going in when they realize where we are. The rooms are pleasant and comfortable and clean. The breakfast bar is ample and has something for everyone.

Pros: Free popcorn and sodas until 10pm; free breakfast; free "kickback" dinner and beverages. Wonderful experience!
Friendly staff, clean/comfortable rooms. I like the shower gel, shampoo and condition dispensers in the showers instead of the little bottles. Balcony room was great with a good view. Ver pleasant stay.
