When it snows and your kids want to swim...Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: VERY Friendly Staff Slide in the pool area
Cons: softer beds maybe
Location: The movies are right next door. Very close to the mall and other shops
My family and I were supposed to go to Lubbock for a tournament and had reservations down there but they cancelled it due to the recent snow. So I last minute booked this hotel and was so very glad I did! Check in time was at 3, I booked at 2:30. My rooms were ready as soon as I got there at 3! We got rooms that were right next to each other which was a pretty big deal since a big bus carrying lots of kids drove up. I just knew everything was going to be busy and our stay would be crappy, but to my surprise it wasn't! Hotel staff was very willing to help any way they could. Pool was a bit crowded but still had fun. My kids LOVED the slide! Breakfast was awesome, every thing was well prepared and the staff was constantly working to make sure every table had what they needed. I don't think I seen them slow down once! Always had a smile on their face and very polite. Beds were a little hard for me, but I am used to my own bed. Rooms were very clean and well maintained. We will be going back! My kids favorite part was the swimming and the slide. Pool was nice and warm!

It was really good for usPosted Jan 20, 2015
Cons: The room service was out of service. They should fix that
Location: We did not go out the hotel in our only night there.
We needed to stay one night in Amarillo and the hotel was perfect for us. The staff was very kind with us and the bedroom was what we were expecting, clean and comfortable.

Great motelPosted Jan 12, 2015
Pros: Great breakfast. Quiet at night. Comfortable rooms. Coffee pot was not in the bathroom next to toilet like most motels
Loved it. Friendly staff every where. Great breakfast staff and food. Highly recommend this motel. Will return next time I visit Amarillo, TX

Good location by the mall and hospital. Slight drawback is that the water slide is only open on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Quick stay but greatPosted Jan 1, 2015
My family and I stopped in on our way home from Colorado to Dallas. We basically hit the bed righ away but the hotel was very nice! Beds were comfortable, hotel very clean and nice. Staff was plesent and breakfast was good! We didn't stick around but I would grab a suite for the family if a longer stay was ever needed! Nicer than any other holiday inn I have used, comparable to the Marriott we used in Denver.

Clean and ComfortablePosted Dec 29, 2014
Pros: Pleasing appearance Courteous staff Cleanliness
Cons: When a line of customers is waiting...the "guy" just standing around needs to jump in and help!
Location: Plenty of higher end restaurants
We were traveling back from Colorado and wanted a nice place to rest before completing the trip home. The Holiday Inn was kinda hidden behind several businesses and a little difficult to get to; however, it was totally worth the effort! There was a short line at the front desk when I arrived that continued to grow as I stood there waiting for the one staffer assisting customers and the other on the phone. (There was some guy standing around in the background...not sure what his purpose was?!?). Once it was finally my turn, the staff was very courteous and professional. As we walked through the halls to our room, my son commented on how nice everything looked and how fresh and clean it smelled! The room was definitely just as pleasing! Everything was clean and comfortable! After a good night's sleep, we had a great COMPLIMENTARY breakfast in the restaurant. I had forgotten our breakfast coupons in the room....not to worry. The staffer at the front desk gave me new ones, no questions asked!
