It is more of a motel than hotel

Posted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: hotel staff gave us extra shampoo on request.
Cons: They can't do much about the slight wafting smells of cow patties. I think it's just part of Amarillo. Did NOT smell it in rooms/ just parking lot.
Location: Not far from I-40 in the medical area.
Bed sheets weren't very soft and neither was toilet paper. It was an OK place to stay near I 40 if you are passing through town and need a place to crash for the night. Expedia had a room with two double beds priced around $96 per night for nonsmoking. I liked the photo of the pool on the site, but in truth we didn't swim because the water looked a little greenish in July of 2015. Fine for overnight, but not where I'd want to stay for several nights if I were on a vacation. Keycards were also difficult to use, we struggled with both and had to get a maid to let us in and then have the cards rekeyed.

An Inexpensive Option

Posted Jul 21, 2015
If you're really looking to save money and you can't afford a rate higher than this, I think this hotel is okay at best. Some cons: The carpets were stained, the air conditioner didn't work (even though they said it was a new unit), I felt the need to wear flipflops in the shower, and the key cards would stop working. The pool was dirty and had no lifeguard on duty. The breakfast was decent enough, but the last day we went to the Waffle House next door. Also, on our second day, there was a split-second power outage and the wifi and cable went down. They were very slow to deal with the internet/cable issue and it took over 24 hours for it to work again. (To my understanding though, their service provider wasn't local so there wasn't much they could do). Also, on the last day, there was a strong cow poo odor in the morning. For me, the worst part of all was seeing ants in our room on the nightstand. I'm glad we switched rooms the next day. Even though in the next room there was a dead bug in the coffee maker where you're supposed to pour the water in.. Some pros: Despite all of this, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They switched our room when they couldn't fix the air conditioner (because it would void the warranty), and they never were rude or annoying when they had to reactivate our keys. My advice, 1-2 nights at most is best.

Nice place near our event

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: Comfortable bed. The free breakfast was nice, but lacked advertised items such as bacon, sausage
Cons: The breakfast needs improving, the waffle maker was not working very well.
Nice pool and facilities and breakfast. Close to our destination

No King-size Bed

Posted Jul 9, 2015
I booked a king room three weeks prior to arrival. When I arrived to check in, the hotel clerk said she only had double beds left, said she'd only gotten notice of my reservation sometime that day, and that if I'd have wanted my king, I'd have had to call the hotel directly before 2pm that day. Very annoying.

Ok choice

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Staff was excellent. directions listed are not correct; street is South Coulter, not North which takes you to a neighborhood. Drove around for 30 minutes trying to get there which showed only 4 miles. Room was ok for sleeping, not one for staying longer and hanging out in.

Cons: better description of the room on your own site and expedia.
Location: na
hotel, staff, and the room are nice. booked though expedia, lacking of detailed description, wanted a king suit, ended up with a regular king room. and had to sleep on the sofa chair.

Nice hotel close to the interstate.

Although the hotel was nice the staff was not very helpful when we didn't have enough room to accommodate all of us.

We were given a room that was already occupied

Posted Jun 29, 2015
And we barged in on a sleeping person in the middle of the night. Felt bad for him.

Only worth $50

Posted Jun 24, 2015
Pros: Staff was nice and price was cheap
Cons: charge $5-7 more and improve mattresses and breakfast
Location: easy to get to location and many restaurants nearby
Weak mattress No lounge chair or comfortable desk chair, just a hard chair. The breakfast presentation was terrible and not appealing at all. very few choices.
