“Passing through”

The Hotel recently changed names from Howard Johnson to Red Roof. The hotel is right off Interstate, NOT the business Route. For the price we were able to get two rooms, the kids (18,16 and 14) in one and me and the wife in the other. The hotel is older and needs some maintenance, (3, Condition of hotel) some of the tiles in the bathtub needed to be reset. The staff were nice and very helpful.

“Pleasant stay at this motel”

We were satisfied with this motel. We booked in England and basically hoped for the best. Huge bed.....sink outside bathroom, but. That seems to be common in the US. Mid priced motel, we were happy with what we got.

“Motel is good”

I had a hell of a time finding this motel. It seems my gps was smoking crack and then when I had asked people where the motel was they said it had closed down and was turned into a motel 6. I finally stopped at a McDonalds and pulled up my confirmation to get their number. Seems I was just around the corner from them. LOL the problem was that they had just opened less than a year before. The air conditioner was not working well. Another thing which had nothing to do with the motel, was that when I got there I wanted to upgrade to a two bed room but they told me that Expedia did not allow that. They said the screen was blacked out in a way so that changes couldn't be made. I don't know why that is. But the room was very clean and the bed pretty comfy.

“Great Room at a Great Price!”

My wife and I were very happy with our stay at this motel. The room was large and very accessible (I'm disabled), including the bathroom. The staff was very friendly, especially Lynn, however when we arrived at 3pm, there was a note on the counter that the front desk person would be back in a moment. It was more like 10 minutes. Once she arrived though, she handled our check-in very well. A couple of suggestions: The desk and night stand were side by side, which meant both lamps were right next to each other. Would have liked a lamp on the other side of the bed, especially since the bulb in the wall fixture when by the door was burned out. So the room was a little bit dark. Also, the room description on Expedia says 108 rooms come with video game console, but there was none in our room. In fact the TV is an "old school" 19", and there was no TV guide channel to tell us what was on. Other than the above, this was a great room for a great price, and we plan to stay again the next time we're in Amarillo for medical appointments (we live in Hereford, Texas which is only about 50 miles away).

“No major problems”

There were only two small issues - the internet connection isn't great, and there are a few signs of wear and tear around. But overall, it was good value.

“comfort but dissappointed”

The room was ok kinda small....everything else was ok. The reasoni scored it lower because our truck got broken into along with another car. So idk about that

“NEVER AGAIN”

Room was not properly serviced. No clean towels left after removing half of the dirty ones. Wanted me to carry my own towels to room as she had them drapped over her arm. Trash not taken out on first night. Beds unmade, never have seen beds with bedspread just pulled up over un fluffed pillows. I felt because we was staying over, they did not have to service the room. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONY EVER. I WILL NOT BE VISITING AGAIN!!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!

“HOUSE KEEPING”

OUR STAY WAS GOOD AND WE DIDNT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS TILL ABOUT 10:30 AM THE DAY OF CHECK OUT, WHEN THE HOUSE KEEPER JUST WALKED IN TO OUR ROOM WITH OUT KNOCKING.
