Dated, noisy people in halls latePosted Dec 18, 2014
Hotel staff and price were great, rooms are dated and many of the guests were loud slamming doors in hallways. Baths / TVs / countertops all very old but kept pretty clean.

StayPosted Dec 15, 2014
The staff was very nice and room was clean and comfortable. They are re-modeling at this time but it did not hinder anything with our stay.

Nice hotel, but still under constructionPosted Dec 14, 2014
Some front desk employees are little rude when asking for their help.

Not worth it, might as well use motel 6Posted Dec 14, 2014
Pros: The outside appearance
Cons: Everything, the rooms are that of a motel 6, utterly rediculous. The fixtures in the room and bathroom look like a ten year old installed them.
Location: Texas Road house is just a stones throw away, there's a few other places right there close to the hotel.
Okay, so we stayed at this hotel because they're normally a decent place to stay, which looking from the outside in, it does look that way. So here it goes, you walk into the hotel, the front desk associate was very nice. Our room however had pain peeling off the celing, the shower curtain rod was falling off the wall, the actual room still had trash in it (Not in can, just thrown on the floor). There was no microwave, no mini fridge in the room like there is in so many now days. The breakfast, which is free (If you remember your coupons they give you at check in) is nothing to really brag about, you can get the same thing at any other hotels. However if you forget your coupons, just go out to eat because for $8.00 a plate you can eat pretty decent in Amarillo. Also be careful when you check out we paid with Expedia, and the hotel still charged our card and we had to have our bank take care of it because the hotel staff was extremely rude and wouldn't even try to help.

WHAT A DEAL!Posted Dec 12, 2014
I booked this hotel on-line and ended up staying there about 8 days. If you book using your mobile device there is an additional 30% discount. At $55 this is the deal of the century. Sure, they are doing some construction on this place as they refurbish it, but that wasn't an issue. Highly recommended!

renovatingPosted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: Nice atrium area once all the renovation is done.
Cons: Already doing physical improvements. Desk staff could use some training.
Had a hard time identifying the hotel, because it is under renovation and their new sign was not up yet. Lobby person was busy telling a patron about his college basketball career and ignored me as I stood there waiting at check-in. Finally had to wave to get him to pay attention to me. Whole place seemed under renovation with scaffolding everywhere. Didn't enjoy our one night stay, so we left early the next morning before the included breakfast.

Under renovations but can see great potential!Posted Dec 10, 2014
Pros: Location Price
Cons: Look forward to the completion of renovations.
I would recommend this hotel with the caveat that they are undergoing renovations and some areas are dusty and there is some construction noise. However, my room was clean and comfortable. I could see some improvements that had already be made and was impressed with their desire to bring the hotel up to current expectations. Good price & location.

BEST staff EVER!Posted Dec 10, 2014
Location: Too much to list! :)
I have stayed here many times - and although the name has changed throughout the years - the staff remain the most friendly, helpful hotel staff of ALL TIME! They go above and beyond the call of duty for their guests. Thank you all for always making it the most pleasant overnight stay of the year :)
