This was my second stay at the Sunbreeze hotel. As with my first visit, things could not have been any better. Just a short walk across a small street from the airport and I mean short thirty steps type walk. The receptionist was friendly and explained everything very clearly. The room was great, large, clean and comfortable with a safe and a small refrigerator. The Hotel is walking distance to all three north-south going streets. Onsite Blue Water Grill serves great food and drinks Small pool but lots of lounges to sun when and if you want too. I will return.

You can't go wrong. Delis, Andrew helped with any excursion we wanted, they were great. The ruins, snorkeling, and fishing, it was all great, all of it. It's not a resort, it's a quiet little place, I mean quiet, which was really nice. Everything is within walking distance, didn't need a cart to drive, and the excursions pick you up at the dock. Loved it and will come back again.

Coco Beach was an amazing hotel. We stayed 8 nights here and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff is incredible. They are so helpful and patient and friendly. They take the time to get to know you, make conversation, and greet you by name. The hotel is beautiful. Every room has an incredible room of either the beach and ocean or the amazing pool area. The rooms are also beautiful with lots of space and spacious bathrooms with pretty tile.

The hotel was far from everything and it was really inconvenient the fact that the lobby, restaurant and bar operates only from 7 am - 9 pm. It is not the best hotel if you are travelling with friends or if your plan is to get to know San Pedro well, have dinners and drinks after 9 pm or at San Pedro. The hotel manager should work at something else, his idea of doing his job well is literally "making money" and not serving well his customers. The pool was nice but there is no way of going into the ocean anywhere nearby. The food and rooms were really god.

The location is good. It is in the less-busy south, but with quick access to town (10 minutes by golf cart), restaurants (including the excellent Baker next door) and grocery stores. The units are individually owned, so the décor may vary, but the one we ended up in on the beach (H-4) had good living space - two bedrooms / baths, kitchen and living area, all decorated in an attractive Caribbean style. The staff were excellent, (especially Kathy) helping us with any issue we had (upgrade to beach front, golf cart drop-off, etc). They had a good restaurant on the beach, Rico's, which was very convenient. We recommend the Villas highly.

Mid-May was the perfect time to avoid crowds. We selected Mata Rocks for its limited number of rooms and on the beach location--just the right size to have privacy or meet new friends. We did both. The staff worked hard to keep the services the best, the accommodations perfect, and recommending the best tours for our ability and comfort.
While the Tiki bar did not serve sandwiches, nearby restaurants provided that need. The food nearby was tasty but pricey. We could have eaten local street vendor food, but heard of favorable reviews too late to appreciate. Our room had a kitchenette but we used only the refrigerator. In Belize, Coca-Cola is sold in glass bottles and has the old fashioned sugar taste, something I appreciated.
Sea-rious Adventures provided excellent tour packages. Their staff's skill and knowledge provided wonderful snorkeling, caving, zip-lining, Mayan ruins, Caye Caulker, and even shark swimming adventures.
This was our first trip to Belize. We would stay at Mata Rocks again in a heart beat.

The largest of several cayes (islands) off the northern coast of Belize, this narrow strip of paradise is beloved among sun-worshippers, snorkelers, and swimmers. In addition to boasting the Belize Barrier Reef, the island is home to mangrove forests, tropical savannahs, and lagoons.
