Good location

Posted Mar 21, 2015
We're pretty low maintenance travellers, so this hotel met our needs. The location was excellent for a 15 min walk on the beach into centre of town. The rooms had everything we needed & the patio had ocean/beach/Palm tree views. No long walk to the beach. The sea grass is everywhere this year, and staff works constantly to combat it. Staff was helpful. If you're looking to be pampered & waited on, this hotel isn't for you. If you like trying different restaurants in town, walking the beach & don't expect all the high end comforts of home (but all your needs are met), stay here.

Pleasant

Posted Mar 15, 2015
Pros: Quiet location, and friendly staff. The staff was very helpful with recommendations and answering questions.
Cons: Side trips offered by the hotel were a bit pricey, but well organized. The hotel was right on the beach, although the seagrass prevented swimming.
Location: Snorkeling and inshore fishing was fantastic. Trips to the main land are doable, but require an hour + ferry trip.
Quaint place in a quiet location. The staff couldn't have been more friendly. It's a little piece of paradise.

not what was expected

Posted Mar 13, 2015
Pros: friendly staff
Cons: room improvements, just not comfortable. blackout blinds, very bright in morning. an oven better yet barbeque. grass around pool area
Location: good location walking distance to town and grocery store.
there are only frying and microwave for cooking. they have barbeque but not for your use. staff are very nice food is good but weather you buy in, eat out or go to grocery store take lots of money, and don't trust the people you are paying off the resort. the resort it's self is ok two small pools the grounds are ok but could be better, staff are always working. beaches in Belize are not so nice but we knew this. we went for diving recommend aqua scuba. the couch is cement and not to comfortable took few minutes for hot water, the fry pan and pots do not sit flay on bottoms so they are clumsy to use. fridge was not real cold but cold enough if you drink fast. they over price all liquor at all stores so get some at duty free on way there.

Everything was great except for one thing.

Posted Mar 12, 2015
Pros: Location, cleanliness, golf cart rental available, excursions available, restaurant and the private dock.
Cons: The walls between rooms. You could hear a pin drop in the next room.
Location: Location is not too far away from downtown, yet far enough to be away from the night life noise. Excursions by boat can pick you up right at the dock
The hotel was almost perfect. Great staff, cleanliness, atmosphere and location. The only big negative is that the walls are paper thin. You could hear everything in the rooms next to yours. Fortunately our neighbors went to bed at a reasonable hour.

Hotel accommodations not as pictured on your site

Posted Mar 8, 2015
Pros: Many Palm trees on property so you could get a s much or little sun as desires. The on site food was excellent at a competitive price.
Cons: No drinking water, glasses, chair, dressers, extra small tv, patio door and bathroom door did not lock, one small shelf in bathroom, small ref.
Location: Not far from town, unbelievable amount of sea weed on beach, smelled of rotting seaweed and sewer gas, and gasoline by our beach
Weather great, but windy. After adjusting to the site it was average. Some of the wait staff not trained. No intro to the site or amenities. Brought to the walk up room on the third floor, by a 12 year old boy, with no explanation of where anything was located.

Fabulous location and awesome staff!

Posted Mar 1, 2015
Pros: The maid, the location, the office staff, the maintenance of the facilities and the dock!
Cons: This was not the best place for food, though we did only try it once.
Location: Right on the edge of San Pedro but without being in the heart of downtown. On the beach! Many tours leave from here, rent a cart and tour the island
Comfortable and well maintained facilities right on the beach. Awesome staff that will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. We had a room with a balcony right on the beach, nice pools, beaches and swimming. Tours will pick you up right on the hotel pier. We are planning on coming back next year!

Nice, but

Posted Mar 1, 2015
Pros: Beach, staff, view, food
Cons: Booking system,
Location: San Pedro is close and great. Fantastic snorkeling and diving out on the reef (have to take a boat out).Tours, sailboats, and diving available on site
When we arrived we discovered there had been an error in our room booking, and the one bedroom suite we were booked was not available, for the entire two week stay. The hotel acknowledged it was their mistake, but despite moving twice during the week we never did experience what we had booked. As you can imagine this did put a damper on our vacation. To be fair the manager and staff were good, and there were financial adjustments made, but bottom line we would have preferred to have received what we booked. Also one hot tub was not working during the entire time which put a real strain on the remaining one so we opted not to use it for sanitary reasons. The property is quite nice, with one of the best beaches on the strip, and other than the room issue we enjoyed our stay there.

great staff, super accommodating...

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: very spacious in the loft rooms. Owner also hires youth which was great
Cons: would like to see more local artists, fabric sellers integrated to give clients more ongoing access
Location: snorkeling right off the beach, great local restaurants, nice also to be able to prepare food in the room, staff great about sharing info
We screwed up on our booking and the staff bent over backwards to accommodate us. really helpful. I liked low key feel... very peaceful but also lots to do if you want

Keep clear until they solve the problems

Posted Feb 20, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: New building still needs work. Kitchen needs to be expanded
Location: Near to San Pedro. Golf cart rentals easily available to explore the area. Water sports (snorkelling, scuba diving, sailing) available
We were 'upgraded' to the new 'Deluxe' Standard Rooms. These rooms are poorly constructed and still need work (and 'debugging'). Staff and the facilities has not expanded to meet greater number of guests. On the morning we left, we ordered breakfast an hour before our taxi was to arrive. An hour later, still no breakfast. The location is terrific and the beach is nice. Staff are generally pleasant. Food is fine, although the menu is limited.
