“Very good, basic lodging”

This is a nice and clean hotel. The staff is quick and courteous and condition is good. Our family stays here annually and it's a great place if you have children because the pool is large and fun. There's a nice and large hot tub in one corner of the pool area. The free breakfast, however, is of poor quality, although there are many food choices.

“Had a really good stay.”

Excellent breakfast. Clean room. Good, friendly, helpful service. Not a lot of extras, but that was not what I was looking for. HS reunion and many classmates stayed here and all were pleased. Many had stayed here before including myself.

“Definitely Recommend This Hotel”

We were in town for our daughter's bridal shower. It just happened to be the same weekend as the Iowa Games. We figured all the businesses would be swamped with people and perhaps the service would not be up to usual standards. Everywhere we went, the people were more than friendly and aimed to please. The hotel staff was extremely pleasant and the room was clean and very comfortable. The continental breakfast was always well stocked and was kept clean. One thing we did notice that we were not sure if we liked was when we got to our room immediately after checking in, the door was propped open. We hesitated to enter our room. Not sure if someone else was in it. We noticed this later with other rooms as well. It is convenient when you just check in and are carrying a lot of luggage and bags to just walk right into your room. But it is something we were just not comfortable with. Other than that, we were 100% satisfied with our room and the staff.

It was very easy to check in and out. Very nice hotel and well taken care of. They served a nice complimentary breakfast also.

Duff Ave is the main drag in Ames, didn't know that before we went, but soon found it out!!!

“Great Hotel”

I stayed at Country Inn Suites and it excellent. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. They had a nice indoor pool and jacuzzi, and the complimentary breakfast was awesome! Overall, I had a positive experience, and I know I will be staying there from now on when I visit.

“Great amenities, small price”

Lots of goodies for the price -- cookies on check-in, free drinks in late afternoon, great hot breakfast with lots of choices, and a great work-out room, to overcome the calories. Nice, new property, staffed by friendly folks.

“One of the best hotels in the area”

The room was very clean. When we got there the air didn't seem to be working. We left for a few hours and came back to find it working perfectly and couldn't even tell they had been there. Great service and great staff.

“Comfortable Place to Stay”

We were visiting family and found this hotel on the internet. Very comfortable and friendly staff. Comfortable and clean rooms, swimming, computer access, breakfast, afternoon cookies and coffee, and happy hour - what more could you want.
