“Missed the Pool...”

There were only two things my traveling party and I would recommend changing about this hotel... first, the bathrooms in the guests' rooms could do with a little updating. Many of the tiles were cracked and broken and the tub was "dirty/grungy" looking. Second, the pool was "out of order" for the entire weekend! We had four children in our travel party that was really looking forward to going swimming when we got to the hotel, only to find out it was closed. This was a big disappointment, since it is one of the main reasons we chose this hotel.

“For price & location, it will do.”

Needs to be updated but the room was comfortable and the location was convenient.

“Very dirty”

Front desk was friendly and fast at check in. Outdated property that needs a serious cleaning. Carpet was nasty. Rooms had a funky smell. I walked into the breakfast area and walked out without touching anything. Older hotels don't bother me if they're clean. This place was VERY dirty.

“Not impressed”

I was satisfied for the money but it would be my last choice if no other hotels are available. I got there at 4:30 p.m. and the check in time was 3:00 p.m. and the room was not ready. No alarm clock and the heat/air units thermostat did not work so the unit ran constantly and mad the room temperature uncomfortable and noisy. I asked for a late check out and was refused. It was Sunday in Boone Ia. so it was not like they were booked up. It was a bit annoying that when I arrived I had to wait because they didn't have the room ready but when I asked for a 12:00p.m. checkout (normal check out is 11:00 a.m.) and they refused but it was ok for them to deny me a later checkout? Terrible customer service!
