“Really enjoyed this room!”

Traveled to Ames to visit my daughter who is completing an internship this summer at Iowa State University. This hotel was perfect for me and my 3 adult daughters. Plenty of room, refrigerator, microwave, stove, 2 queen beds and a pull out couch, 2 TVs. Plenty of good restaurants close by and it was close to ISU and downtown. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

“Nicest hotel in Ames, Iowa!!”

The beds are very comfortable and the free morning breakfast is really tasty!! The staff is very friendly and it is connected to "Old Chicago" which is always a plus! Nice pool. It is the only place my family stays at when we go to see our son who lives in town.

“Not Impressed”

In the service is not included the room cleaning every day. We booked a room for two people and they arranged us in a room where my brother had to sleep in the sofa-bed. This is not the idea of having a confortable vacation.

“A Comfortable and Convenient Place to Stay in Ames”

The hotel was very clean, great free breakfast and sitting area in the lobby. Very willing to accomodate requests for things like extra towels. Don't forget to bring your bathing suit! The indoor pool is very small but relaxing.

Area recommendations

Check out the campus and don't miss the BBQ place - can't recall it's name but ask where it is at the desk.

“Clean and nice but an older hotel and starting to run down”

The grounds of the hotel were beautiful. The hotel is not child friendly and is an older hotel that is starting to go down hill.

“We'll be back!”

This was perfect for a family! A lot of space for your buck! breakfast was typical, the pool was a little smaller than other hotels but we swam twice and were the only people in there. The restaurants close by were yummy and convenient. Love having the kitchen area. We are already planning on using this same hotel when we head back to Iowa next month.

“Very comfortable & convenient location”

Great quality and value. My room had a comfortable living room area, spacious work desk & nice kitchen area for at home comforts. Comfy place to work online while sipping a glass of wine & catching up on the news. Only negative was outside noise. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.
