Wonderful stay in AmesPosted Aug 24, 2013
Pros: Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable.
Cons: I can't imagine anything that would need changing.
Location: Location is kind of weird, but accessible to everything (main shopping area, freeway, campus).
What a pleasant surprise to stay here! Clean, inviting lobby welcomed us. The room was perfect with so much room to spread out. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel staff went beyond what was expected when she allowed us to grab out breakfast even though we were running 10 minutes late. She kept asking us if we needed anything else instead of being annoyed that we held her up. What a pleasant surprise! I am hoping we can stay here EVERY time we are in Ames.

Very nice stayPosted Aug 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very nice room and quite reasonable for rates. The breakfast was also very nice as well. The only downside was the AC in the suite. It seemed that there was only one register in the suite which was in one bedroom. With the door shut, the rest of the suite got very warm, and the one bedroom got very cool. Leaving the fan running and keeping the door partly open helped.

enjoyed our stayPosted Aug 19, 2013
Pros: very clean fresh cookies in evening. free coffee in evening.
Location: god location. very good Chinese restaurant across the parking lot. amazing sushi. Nice little patio in back with a grill. good location for ISU
The only problem I had was they did not specify what size or quantity beds were in each bedroom. We had a 2 bedroom suite but there was only one bed per room. Could not find that information anywhere. We had a nice stay. small pool

Very good place to stay.Posted Aug 15, 2013
We spent four nights here visiting family and the Iowa State Fair. Our suite was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I left a tip for housekeeping on the nightstand. It was still there when we returned that night! I'm very impressed that the staff is honest even if they left their tip behind. My only suggestion for improvement has to do with the mattress. It seemed soft and very bouncy. Other than that everything was great. If you stay here make sure you stop for dinner at Hickory Park just up Duff Street!

Nice clean hotel! Good proximity to the highway but a bit of a haul through traffic to get into Ames. Like that there is a 2-bedroom suite available for traveling with family, but wish one of the bedrooms had 2 beds... Teenage brothers won't sleep together.
