A lovely, classy, quiet and elegant new England experience. Staff were outstanding. The "Greeness" of the inn was the cherry on top! The dinner was superb!! Their sipport of locak foods is evident. Even the tea was delicicious! I wish I could've stayed longer.

“A Nice Historic Inn”

This was exactly what we expected when we stayed in Amherst for two nights. My husband had business at UMass and this was very convenient. The room was large, but the bathroom was tiny. AC worked great, the bed was huge. The Pub had good food and a great New England Atmosphere.

“Best B&B in Amherst, MA”

Beautifully restored historic Inn in the center of quaint Amherst. Loved the outdoor firepit (even in November). Lots of extra touches here.

“"A hotel fit for visiting dignitary"”

I arrived late to check-in after a long drive from NYC. It was my first visit to Amherst and to The Lord Jeffery Inn. At check-in I was immediately upgraded - possibly my tired looks inspired the staff. The hotel, recently renovated, drew gasps of delight from those who had previously stayed. I on the other hand, being brand new, was happy with everything about the hotel: the elegance, the friendly staff, the ease of parking, the onsite restaurant, the recommendations for late night dining, the coziness of the inn's living room, easy internet access in both the hotel room and the lobby, the proximity to the area stores and nearby campuses. A fantastic place to stay - highly recommend.

“School Visit”

I LOVE this place! My son and I were here for 1 night for the Hampshire College admitted student day. We stayed in room 219 in a double. Bathrooms were really modern for an Inn - small but lovely. Everyone was so nice and extremely helpful. Best breakfast ever in The Boltwood - French toast with fresh warm maple syrup, vanilla creme (that's right) and lemon creme omg. Huge coffee cup filled with the best cup of coffee I've ever had. Then - beautiful music came from the walls as if they stole them right off my playlist. Sia singing Destiny... It's right in the center of Amherst - so leave the car and walk around town and the college. My son ended up choosing a different school, but I'm sure I'll be back!

Great hotel! Convenient to the Amherst College campus and not far from UMass. Great service, excellent food (30 Boltwood). Nice outdoor seating - would love to see the fires going in the fall! Highly recommend!

“Immpecable mix of traditional and modern elements”

Great experinece at an updated Inn that perfectly mixes traditional with modern elements. Front desk staff was charming. Room was meticulous. The green initiatives were the most forward thinking of any hotel I have visited in the US. Only complaint was breakfast on Sunday - long wait, service was a bit harried once we were seated - the room seemed understaffed not overcrowded. And they ran out of bacon (?).
