Beautiful historic hotelPosted Sep 4, 2013
Pros: Rooms, club lounge, pool, restaurant, general ambience
Cons: Consistency in room sizes
Location: Not much near by the hotel, taxis was best way around as really too hot to walk too far. Near enough to the Roman Theater and Citadel.
Beautiful hotel with excellent club lounge. Great pool area and excellent service. Best Lebanese restaurant in Amman. Very popular with locals. Rooms were gorgeous BUT we stayed twice and on the second stay, booked the same club room type, received a smaller room. There was not much to do around the hotel, you need to get a taxis to shops and the old part of town, however taxis were very cheap.

One of the best equipped gyms I've used, great location and very comfortable.

Great hotel but way over priced breakfast!Posted Apr 30, 2013
Great hotel but massively disappointed with how expensive the breakfast was, for 2 it was 44jd, we spent a week in Jordan and all that time breakfast was included in all the small places we stayed in so we felt slightly ripped off after paying £152 for the room that we had to pay another £40 odd quid for breakfast which is by far the most expensive breakfast we have ever had! my suggestion would be to go where the locals eat it will only cost 1jd!

Excellent hotel with great amenitiesPosted Apr 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
As with most Intercontinental properties, this is a very nice hotel. The staff was helpful and spoke excellent English, the lobby was large and well-appointed, the restaurants were varied and tasty, and both rooms we had were good, although the room in the A wing was notably nicer than the one in the Deluxe wing. Higher ceilings, better finishes, more space, nicer bathroom. Also, the spa is wonderful. The gym has lots of brand new machines, the spa is well-staffed, the heated pool is great for indoor laps, and they serve tea! The nearby Rainbow Street has lots of trendy restaurants at a wide range of price points - try Quds for excellent, incredibly cheap falafel, and Sufra for fine dining in a beautiful setting.
