Need air conditioning with temperature control.Posted Nov 18, 2013
Excellent overall. Great location. Walked to the Citadel. The daily room cleaning was irregular and late and incomplete but not a big thing either. The room air conditioning did not work so opened the window.

Very friendly staff, excellent breakfastPosted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: Breakfast, cleanliness, friendly staff.
Location: Explore Amman, organise excursions through the rest of Jordan.
We arrived in Amman late so were tired and hungry; hotel staff made check in quick and easy and recommended an exceptional local café where we had the best meal of our holiday (we went back twice). Staff were very helpful and organised for us a driver to take us for a day trip to Jerash and Ajloun the next day. Our driver Ali was so informative, friendly and trustworthy that we hired him again the day after to drive us to Petra via Madaba, Mount Nebo and the Dead Sea and again on our last day in Jordan to take us to Amman. Cannot recommend Ali enough; he made our holiday amazing and provided a great insight to the country and its people. He went above and beyond to make us happy and comfortable. The beds were comfy, the shower warm and the air con needed! Breakfast was a buffet and the selection was excellent. The hotel was not the easiest for accessing downtown Amman when you do not know where you are going however staff were great at organising any necessary taxis at a reasonable rate so this was not a problem.

Toledo Hotel - great hotel at a great locationPosted Jun 4, 2013
Pros: Location and helpful hotel staff. Access via a nice quiet street (very different from the picture you see on the site).
Cons: There's a nice open lounge area that comfortable but when people can smoke in their and the smell waifs through the hotel lobby area.
Location: Great location - very close to local every day shops and near tourist sites via taxi. The taxi ride was very affordable.
The hotel staff are top notch - helpful and cheerful. Overall it's a comfortable older hotel that is located to nearby conveniences. If you want water and pop there a store outside the hotel a minutes walk. They have a convienant sheet listing nearby sites in english and arabic, with distance - very useful for communicating with taxi drivers. From the hotel you can walk to a strip where there are local shops (non-touristy) where you can buy what local buy and eat. It cost 1 dinar to goto the downtown area where you can enjoy local cuisine from restaurants such as Al-Quds (Jerusalem Restaurant), Harsheem, and Sara's Seafood Restaurant (highly recommended - yum). The food in the hotel is good - we ate there for lunch but I wouldn't for dinner (same as the lunch menu) because it's worth your time to go downtown for more local fare. Overall it's cheaper even with the taxi ride (~ 10 minutes).

Overall, a very good hotel.Posted May 20, 2013
Pros: Excellent value; clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. Very helpful, professional staff.
Cons: Free wi-fi should be available in the rooms.
Location: Very convenient; just 5-minutes from downtown.
Overall, this is a very good hotel and the rooms are fair value for the price charged. The location is just 5-minutes from the downtown area. My room was spacious, clean and well furnished. The daily breakfast buffet is generous. The front desk staff were extremely helpful with my logistics and travel requirements. The service at all levels is prompt, polite and professional. I will definitely choose this hotel again in my next visit to Amman.

Amman stayPosted Feb 27, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff
Location: The hotel is in a quiet location. Not close to atractions
Toledo Hotel is an old hotel, you can not take a good shower because the amount of water that the shower dispense is so low. We stay in a triple room, everything in the room look so cheap, but clean. The staff is friendly, breakfast is OK. Pay a little more and get a better hotel.

Excellent hotel, nice room, friendly staff, good food. It's within walking distance of downtown, though the hill is a bit steep on the way back! taxis are mostly good value though.

Good Value for Your MoneyPosted Dec 25, 2012 on Hotels.com
The hotel is a short cab ride or about a 25 minute walk to the Citadel and a close 10 minute walk to the Blue Mosque. The surrounding neighborhood doesn't have much to explore in the immediate vicinity, but overall, the hotel was a good value for the price. Breakfast was simple but tasty (and included in our price) and the rooms were clean. Wi-fi is available in the lobby and the staff was friendly and helpful in terms of assisting with travel plans and moving around Amman. The lobby has character with its Moroccan theme, however, the rooms are basis. I would stay here again if I was looking for a good, budget option.
