Location: There is this famous KULCHALAND PLACE( Very Nice Amritsari Kulche) just walking distance from the hotel and couple of other eatries. Try Angrezi Dhaba
We, my wife and another friend+ his wife, arrived on the 12th of November 2014 and yes we were pleasantly greeted and our rooms were given to us immediately. There was a minor problem about hot water not coming at 02:30 am in the morning as we had to go to the Golden Temple for the morning darshan but it was promptly solved within 15min bu their in house plumber. This was quite remarkable as I never expected this at that hour. Rooms were very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was nice with the staff being very courteous. Would definitely stay here the next time I visit the city.

Stay was excellent, hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Attentive to the needs of its customers. They even upgraded our room to a Deluxe room from standard.

Pros: Location in New area & closer to highway..Amritsar & Wagha NH1
Cons: Bed size esp width and mattress
Location: Non veg & Amritsar food joints like Makkhan, Naan, kulche, fish..Kaiser da dhaba.. old city, ice creams & rabri in old city
Although situated in new part of Amritsar with Holiday Inn, Clarks Inn, Comfort Inn etc in the vicinity. We had booked 4 rooms together, but unfortunately were one of the rooms was offered in different floor. All the rooms had single bed format and two joined together. Beds are narrow just 30 inch width, which is very difficult for any adult to sleep comfortably. AC cooling was pathetic. We stayed 2 night & 3 days, but largely had our meals outside as Amritsar had very good non veg food options. Only one night, we went to have dinner after confirming with reception for a space in the restaurant, but when we reached the restaurant, we were turned down as no space was available. We had to order room service only. While checking out, we requested for an extended checkout for at least one room. We were allowed just 30 mi extension, but when we went down at 12.30 pm to check out, it took 45 min and even then credit card machine was not working. Finally we went out to ATM, got cash and paid. So our first stay at Best Western, seems to be the last one.

Although the hotel is in a good condition but it is evident that it has seen better times. During our stay there was water trickling down the artificial ceiling just outside our room and not been addressed for the entire day. The breakfast is just about ordinary and the seating arrangement although plush but make shift. The hospitality and the warmth of the staff makes up for most of the gaps in the upkeep of the hotel. Overall, good value for money but do not expect superlatives...

Terrible experience in terms of the ac in the rooms were not working n leaking. Had to shift to a different room with a child around midnight in which the bathrooms had a terrible stench. Totally hyped this hotel was......I wouldn't visit here again. Stayed in better 3 star hotels.

Good hotel average maintenance

Location: Golden Temple, Wagah Border and Jalianwallah Bagh
Stayed at the hotel for 1 Night with my family. A lot of improvement is needed in the hotel management. Had to call house keeping/ maintenance staff thrice i.e. for Air Conditioner, Electric Kettle and Shower. Good part was that the staff was willing to listen and act.

Worst service and poorly maintained

I have stayed at many best western hotels before but I would say this was the worst one! The service, let's start with the front line staff, very unfriendly, made the worst of our trip. I regret booking this hotel. Because I booked through hotels.com, they made me feel like they couldn't do anything to help me, that I would have to back to where I booked my vacation and deal with my issue there. And the rooms are very poorly maintained, they are not clean and the furniture is very old and stained. The tub was dirty as well. There was left over food bits under the carpet also. And the staff also try putting me into one of the cheaper rooms and when I complained and said I had booked an executive suite, that's when they shifted us. They couldn't seem to find my second booking for the room either. I would say the staff is always the ones that make any hotel shine, and I'm sorry to say your staff did not achieve that at all. Especially your front desk staff.

Good location with good service and breakfast spread. The rooms were very clean and the staff was courteous. Great 2-day stay!
