Cons: Give guests 24 hour hot water.
Location: Golden Temple at night is fantastic.
Travelled as a family with two children. Fabulous reception area once you find the hotel. Staff on reception are cool. Room as described and beds comfortable. Well arranged for a family of four. Only one problem. We had spent two days in rural India and really needed to clean ourselves up. The shower was cold and nothing we did could extract any hot water from the system. Travellers need hot showers. The hotel really needs to address this. We tried the water evening and morning and it was the same both times.

Pros: I choose this hotel due to the location, as it was a 2-3 minute walk from the Golden Temple
Location: location is fantastic for eating - resturants, snacks, coffee

Pros: Bed. Bathroom. Wifi. Location.
Location: Truly right around the corner from the Golden Temple. I didn't see any other hotels that close that were nearly as modern or "western friendly."
Despite being at the "high end" for a budget accommodation, it was probably the nicest hotel I've stayed at in India (not including the big chains). The reviews were mixed, which I found strange, because the room was very clean and the decor was completely updated. The shower was hot, the water pressure was awesome, and the wifi worked great. It is only a couple blocks from the Golden Temple, which makes sightseeing a breeze, and also makes it easy to explain to a rickshaw driver how to get back home after a long day out on the town. After a misunderstanding about the price, the hotel clerk quickly refunded my money without any trouble, which is not super common around these parts. Honestly, I feel like the bad reviews came from people who had never been to India before. I only wish every hotel here was as good as this one!
Filthy, horrible service, and unreliable WiFiPosted Mar 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
I've stayed at many a hotel, but never before have I requested that they change the sheets. After I requested that they do so three times and waited two hours, they finally did. The bed still looked a bit dirty afterwards, but I didn't have much of a choice at that point. The WiFi worked in the lobby and some hallways, but not in my room. The hot water in the bathroom did not work, nor did the shower. I had to bathe using a cup.
