Quaint and clean

Posted Oct 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
We picked this hotel because it was close to some friends who live in Amstelveen. So obviously, it is not close to Amsterdam's sights but we did not really need to be. The staff and service was excellent. We had a small room with a double bed. The carpets need to be replaced but the room is clean. It has a delightful outdoor seating area and a nice bar inside. The breakfast was very good too.

Nice hotel - good value

Pros: Close to bus station and airport.
Nice small, family owned hotel in quiet area of town. About 30 minutes from downtown using bus 170, 172 and 142. The bus station is only three or four blocks away. Great service by the staff, breakfast included an assortment of cheeses, hams, eggs, bread, etc. They were all nice and flexible to work with us! I would highly recommend this hotel for someone willing to take the bus to town and be in a quiet area for a good price. The rooms and bathroom were very clean. From the airport take bus 300.

Thank you for your review. Since this month it is also possible to buy a special bus ticket for 1-day or more days which you can use not only in the metro and tram but also in the bus. Then you can travel with this one ticket from Amstelveen, Amsterdam to the Zaanse Schans

A great hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Ideal location for access to Amsterdam (5 min walk to bus station).
