“Amsterdam old and new”
Great location, great and friendly service, very good value for money. Nit picks: Breakfast good but not great, slow elevator, charge for wifi.
“Great boutique hotel-most comfortable bed!”
We had a great stay at the Albus Hotel! The room was the perfect size and the shower/tub was amazing. The best part would have to be the bed which was large for a European hotel and soooo comfortable!!! I wasn't crazy about the neighborhood and the fact that the street was really noisy from our window but other than that, we had a great time and would come here again.
“Beautiful, Modern, Inexpensive and Convenient”
Both my friend and I got to the hotel early. The receptionist told us that we were a little early, but she would be sure to get us into a room immediately which she did. The front desk was very helpful with directions and getting around the city. The hotel was beautiful and modern especially considering that we didn't pay a lot for the room. Unfortunately we were unable to eat at their restaurant, but the restaurant and bar area were gorgeous and modern. We had an extremely pleasant stay.
“nash”
hotel was located centrally, easy to walk to and from. hotel was a bit small and poor on facilities, but the location makes it worth the stay.
“Great location”
Rooms had been recently redone in a very attractive, clean modern look. Part of the update was a new large screen TV that contained all the hotel information. Unfortunately, it also contained an alarm clock capability, which remained set from the previous occupant and went off. It required a visit from the technician to find it (through 7 interactive screens) and disable it. A simple alarm clock would be easier.
“Great locaton, good value”
I have been visiting Amsterdam for 25 years and try to change hotels every few years. Until recently I had been staying across the street from this hotel, as I find this central location perfect. The staff was extremely friendly upon check in and i was able to upgrade to a deluxe room. The room was clean and quite large by Amsterdam standards. Beware that it is located on a main street, so front facing rooms have quite a bit of street noise. The bathroom was nice and fairly new. My only gripe was that the double bed was actually two twin beds pushed together.
“Good Deal for the Money”
The hotel was nice and all of the staff was very friendly. It was in a good location. Close to lots of things, but no canal views. The only diappointment was that in order to have the internet in our room all of the time we had to upgrade to a deluxe room. We were a little disappointed by that since according to everything we had read we were under the impression that there was free wireless internet thtoughout the hotel. The upgraded room was nice though.
“Perfect Location”
Our first trip to Amsterdam was made all that much better by our choice of Hotels. The Albus Grand Hotel was the perfect hotel in the perfect location. The front counter staff were polite and extremely helpful in providing all the assistance we asked.
“Really in the city center!!”
The hotel, position of the hotel and personell was perfect but the bathroom was a bit annoying.
“Great location”
The hotel was comfortable and located within easy walking distance to all major attractions. My only problem with the hotel was that breakfast was not included in the room rate and their price for the breakfast buffet was expensive. The buffet was nice and had a good selection but pricy and not worth the expense.

Canal Ring, Amsterdam, Netherlands: The classic Amsterdam image of stately canals, the Canal Loop is principally the Herengracht and Keizersgracht, lined with gracious tall 17th and 18th-century houses. Some of these are now museums, most notably the eccentric Kattenkabinet. The Amstel is a more down-to-earth waterway, lined with houseboats and famous for its classic muchphotographed Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge). The floating Flower Market is also a much-loved canal feature.
