“Beautiful room, great location”

This hotel is located just outside downtown Amsterdam. It's a great location as it's only about a 10 minute walk to downtown. The room was very clean and I was very pleased. Must nicer than other hotels I've stayed at in Amsterdam, or anywhere else for that matter. There were two things that were difficult. This is not a typical "hotel" where you have someone at the front door, restaurant, phone, etc. It's basically just a room. When I tried to find AMS, it was very difficult to locate as it's on a very small street and the only indictation of where it's located is a small tulip on the door. If you blink, you'll miss it. Once you open the door, it's a VERY narrow stairway. I stayed on the 3rd floor and had a bit of difficulty getting my large suitcase up the stairs. The only other drawback is transportation. Rather than spending 50 Euro for a taxi to get back to the airport, I did some research and found out that for 16 Euro, there is a company called Conexxion Shuttle. They would not pick up at AMS Suites but they do pick up at Hotel Pulitzer which is just a 3 minute walk over the canal. Other than these things, it was a very nice room, great location, and I would definately stay here again.

“The Suites are Sweet!!!”

This is a small guest house but the rooms are amazing, especially for the money! The decor was superb with the right amount of furnishings. I know because I travel quite a bit for work and for pleasure. The suite was incredible value for money. They gave complimentary/welcome snacks, water along with high quality bathroom accessories and free internet! Who could ask for anything more. The manager was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect and easy to get to the airport (take the 197 bus from the airport to the last stop and then maybe five minutes walk from there). And very close to the main parts of Amsterdam. The downsides, it was hard to find because we did not have the exact address just the street information so we wandered aimlessly up and down the street for a bit. There was no sign and the only indication was an imprinted tulip on the glass bit of the door. There was no reception which was not really a problem but it would be nice to talk to someone to ask about surrounding attractions etc. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend to all of my friends!

“missing a few bits”

The location of this B&B is excellent. Right in the canal region in the center of Amsterdam. The access to the hotel and room are via a key code. This worked fine although this means that there is no front desk. The room itself was clean and large. The room consisted of a bed. Missing was a couch or chairs that I expected for something called "Suites." So cool concept, excellent location, but a few missing parts.

“New Apartment type Hotel very comfortable close to everything”

We thought that it was a very nice clean comfortable hotel. It is not an apartment there wasn't any facilities for self catering or an ironing board. Staff were very helpful. It was difficult to find, no signage or number on front door. We were on second floor and steps were very steep. It was within walking distance to most places of interest and very close to Airport bus stop.
