“Very impressed”
The worst thing about the hotel was finding it, but this was perhaps more to do with our ignorance of Amsterdam, the city's peculiar geography and the very poor maps available to tourists. However, once found the Hotel was great, the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfasts worth the trip on thie own and the location perfect for the first time visitor. Most of the major tourist highlights are within a short walking distance, but the hotel is in a very quiet area overlooking the River Amstel. The hotel interior is unique, this is not a travelodge, thank goodness. Whilst small and intimate, the many mirrors light up the space, othewise stuffed with books and artwork. We, for two, would return to this hotel when next in Amsterdam
