City break in AmsterdamPosted Feb 20, 2015
Pros: It was relatively peaceful at night considering its central location.
Cons: Fittings and fixtures were yellowed and mildew ridden in the bathroom. The air conditioning was invasive and dust ridden. Fix these for a start.
Overall - very disappointing. We were not informed of building work at the hotel causing a disturbance. The room was very grubby and dated (considering the price). The TV was archaic, didn't function well and had very little content for a family room. Our daughter uncovered a piece of paper under the bed stating it was regularly cleaned under there - right next to an empty water bottle left by a previous occupant! The teas maid was woefully under stocked. There was no complimentary water (even though several Marriot hotels I have stayed in supply them). Slippers and dressing gowns had to be requested from the reception - why not just leave them in the wardrobe like every other hotel? The telephone in the room was rotten and the minibar / restaurant were extortionately expensive even considering the location of the hotel. To summarise, there was no value for money in this enterprise what so ever. A horrible cynical place that was obviously geared to corporate hospitality and comfort, with family-friendly accommodation an after thought. Avoid it at all costs if family considerations are necessary.

Location fanstatic,Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: Everything, location important and the staff
Cons: Yes, the internet connection in the rooms.
Location: Location fantastic, shopping, for food, museums, walking distance to every where.
The hotel was located in the right place to be ,if you wanted to had a good time in Amsterdam, for food ,shopping, museums, bar, even a cinema walking distance from hotel. The area which the hotel is locate is very safe to be which I think it's very important, I traveled with two teenagers and they love everything about the hotel and the area. The staff was very helpful always, plus the managers as well. I should said that on my next trip to the city "The Marriott " will be my first choice to stay in.e

OK, men lite tråkigt affärshotellPosted Feb 10, 2015
Cons: Gratis wifi borde finnas! Executive lounge var tråkig, inte värt pengarna. Dålig frukost där också.
Bra läge i centrala Amsterdam. Funktionellt rum, men lite tråkig miljö i hela hotellet

rooms needed refurbishing 10 years ago and the beds and pillows are past the best, The hotel is 1.9km away from dam square which wasnt ideal for us but not the hotels fault. Apart from that everything else was fine

ideal location for city centre and airportPosted Feb 5, 2015
Pros: Good proximity to major attractions but well enough away from main centre to be peacful on a night time. Good links from buses.
Cons: The kettle! It had been descaled and when I made morning tea the milk curdled. there was descaling solution left in water, ok after rinsing out.
Location: ecerything accesible by foot, best to walk around Amsterdam, otherwise buses and trams on the door step
Excellent hotel, staff as ever in Marriott hotels improve the experience. Food excellent in restaurant and exec lounge.
