Overpriced Two Star Hotel
For what it cost this Hotel is poor value for money, at 420 euros for 3 nights, a 2 star Hotel at 4 Star prices. No lift, a narrow and steep stair case. The only tea and coffee available was in Reception from a machine. A new Receptionist took 20 minutes to check me in, made mistakes but was friendly and helpful. On the plus side, the room was clean, warm and comfortable, the location is stunning and the Staff, especially Mohammed were very helpful but I won't stay there again.

The staff were friendly. The condition of the property needs attention. Most sockets did not work. The toilet was old and leaked. There was no elevator. I had to ask staff members for a hair dryer. The heating was too low for the weather outside.

They didn’t assigned me the type of room I booked. They offered my to stay in the small room I stayed first and have a discount o change to another room exactly at noon when I was out for visiting the city. accepted the discount but they haven’t refund that to my credit card.

The only good thing was the bed, even that had bobbles everywhere covering the mattress, the toilet was disgusting and the view was shocking.

We got a room on the 4th floor and the hotel doesn't have a lift. It was a struggle for my old parents to climb up and down the stairs 2 times a day. Also, bringing the luggage up to the 4th flr and back down again during check-out was a challenge.

Located almost next door to museum. Easily accessible with tram stop in front of hotel. Walking distance for sightseeing. Close to restaurants and bars. Overall the hotel was dated. Room had no resemblance to what I saw on Expedia before booking. It was tiny, dirty and had no blinds. Very narrow and steep staircases that could pose potential accident hazards. Most of it had no had rails. I had to carry my big luggage on these steep staircases to my room on third floor. I booked an en-suite room on Expedia but on arrival was charged €60 extra for en-suite privilege. Disappointing stay

The room was small but it all you're looking for is somewhere to lay your head for a few hours then this place is great. 24hr reception and staff were very friendly and helpful.

The rooms were dirty. Beds itchy although comfortable. Pillows dirty. Disgusting pretty much all over. The fridge did not work. There was no tea making facilities. I bought a kettle and used it and left it at the hotel for other customers to use. The bathroom had no ventalation and smelt yucky. Paid way too much. Worth only $30USD per night MAX. Place should be renovated.

The property is central to everything, so this was a plus. However, it cost £140 a night plus the city tax for very small room without a tv and a view. Its like being in a hostel. The staff are not friendly and slightly awkward. You can hear people walking constantly. The matrix is awful and it made my skin sore and itchy. Dreadful property, it should cost no more than £30 a night. You will be better off in a hostel.

The room we had; city/museum view, had a balcony which was a nice surprise. Good location for what we wanted. Near public transport. Female staff very friendly and helpful. Room it’s self was clean, a coffee machine for coffee lovers, sorry tea people but nothing for you. The room was warm, beds fairly comfortable. The bathroom, however is the polar opposite of the photos that Expedia provided. There was a plastic pole holding up the shower curtain, not a lovely glass screen. The tiles were old and tired, not modern like expedia’s photos show and the shower was hanging off of the wall. Didn’t bother complaining as someone had complained about this back in December and the hotel still hadn’t fixed it. Made use of what we had. Do not believe expedias photos.

Hotel was clean. Radiator wouldn't turn off so was like sleeping in a sauna.....literally! Told staff who didnt seem to care just said to leave the door open to vent haha. Window wouldn't stay open so had to use a bin. Tv didn't work not that I would use it but as it is listed as a feature this isn't good.

The mattress' were filthily and uncomfortably bobbly - both myself and my sister came away with our skin flared up, hopefully dodgy washing powder and not bed bugs. There was no house keeping, with one coffee pod for three days and towels chucked in. The shower was useless and barely luke warm, washing hair was a no go. Half the shower pole was exposed. The ceiling was covered in water marks, and other defects made it clear there needs to be some work done. It was akin to an alright prison. The heating didn't work and the staff member was insanely rude, and condescending, we slept in coats the last night. Whilst I appreciate Amsterdam's charm of steep narrow steps, i didn't appreciate having to go up and down them twice as the house keeping had key locked the door twice whilst we were there. No phone in the room - had to call the hotel from my phone and the guy was less than useless with the heating, topped off by trying to tell me off for saying it was cold. Pictures on website are misleading. But I guess at least we didn't get the room next to the bins. 10/10 will not go again.

Good location, close to centraal station and minutes walk to famous street food place. Clean room, though TV is not working in our room and the staff didn’t try to fix them. Just told us that it is broken.

The hotel was in a good location, but that was perhaps it’s only redeeming quality. The stairs are an absolute death trap (so steep and narrow that it is akin to climbing a ladder!) and no employee offers to help you with your luggage. The room had damp stains on the walls and roof, you could feel nails through the carpet tiles, and my mattress was so bobbled and scratchy that even with a sheet over it, it was quite uncomfortable. The WiFi didn’t work, and the television remote had no back so it was quite dangerous. Some staff members were very rude and unhelpful. You must leave your key when you leave the hotel for the day and they don’t ID you when you ask for it back, when often it isn’t the same person you gave it to earlier, so anybody could get into your room. Considering how much you spend to stay at this hotel, it isn’t worth it.

There is no printable titlè !
No bathroom or toilet in room which I did not bother to check due to relatively high price. Best thing about hotel was good wifi and location. If you are not nimble on your feet the stairs will terrify you. Staff on reception are pleasant and very helpful. If i paid one quarter the price ok. The toilet and shower is shared by the floor I believe.

The photos of this hotel I saw before booking were incredibly misleading...our room was so small my friend and I couldn’t both stand inside with our luggage. We had a shared bathroom that was a ways down the hall and not very clean. In fact the room was really dirty as well. Very disappointed in our stay and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Don’t waste time or money!
Hard to find! Must park with flashers going to unload bags. No lift! No refund! Didn’t even go to room! Stairs too steep! 10’ x 10’ lobby! Suitcases not locked up in lobby. On and on!

Basic hotel good location
Very small room. No aircon and windows didn't open. Shower didn't drain no shower curtain water flooded the ensuite. Staff however were helpful but didn't do anything about the issues. Nowhere to put cases. Narrow and steep stairs.
