“I would use this hotel again and recommend it to others”
This hotel was well located, the staff was helpful and professional, the rooms were small but well designed and adequate for comfort. The hotel provides many extras, snacks in the lobby, complimentary beverages include wine, beer and full bar. A cozy fireplace in the lobby with several seating areas was appreciated by our group, it provided a conversation and resting area away from our hotel room. Free internet and convenient computers and a printer in the lobby was a plus. My only criticism would be of the small breakfast/dining room, the food and space could be upgraded a notch - maybe a simple fresh flower at each table - a "good morning" from the cook, otherwise we were satisfied with the food.

“Charming hotel”
This Amsterdam hotel has a number of positive qualities: Good location near the center of Amsterdam and within walking distance of a number of tourist sites; attractive lobby; very helpful and friendly staff; free breakfasts and mini-bar (both in room and in lobby area). My only negative comment was that our room was surprisingly small, especially for two people to share.
“not impressed”
Paid extra for a room with a view of the canal. We had no view from our room. if you are an alcoholic, this is the place to stay. We expected to have a great choice of appetizers and non alcoholic drinks. The only appetizers were cheese and crackers. The fully stocked mini bar was a joke. No concierge. Felt unwelcome. The breakfast was great. The location was great. Would not stay here again.
“Great small hotel in Amsterdam”
Great small hotel. Breakfast included in price was always good. Service at the front desk was superb.
“Most comfortable European Hotel!”
The quality of service was refreshing for a European Hotel. The open bar was a nice touch. The rooms were very small, but the mattress was the most comfortable that I have ever slept on. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel.
“Centrally located gem”
Not the most inexpensive option in Amsterdam, but especially if you can find a deal or a special offer, a wonderful place to stay. It's located mid-way and easy walking distance between the historic center and the museum area, close to the flower market and the hopping Rembrandtplein and 15 minutes walk to the equally hopping Leidseplein. It's right on the banks of the impossibly charming Herengracht canal. I had a room with no view at all, but facing the back made it very quiet. Lovely and clever furniture, multiple TV stations in multiple languages, very comfortable in every way, huge bathroom with an extra-large bathtub. The bed was great. Only cleanliness concern was some mold at the bottom of the shower stall. All food and drink is included, from the sumptuous breakfast buffet (have the crepe-like pancakes, a Dutch specialty), to all-day coffee and liquor, and snacks including meat, cheese, olives and crackers in the late afternoon). I did have some unfortunate side effects I am fairly certain came from the cut fruit at breakfast, as I had those symptoms the 3 days I had the fruit and did not have them the 2 days I skipped it. Have a banana or orange instead. The staff was great. I bought a huge bouquet of tulips and they gave me a huge vase for them. I left my prescription sunglasses in the room when I checked out, and when I called a few hours later, they immediately said no worries, we have them and we'll mail them to you in the US (for a fee).
“Great find”
This hotel offered a wonderful stay, comfortable beds and an amazing breakfast. The lobby offered complimentary beverages - both alcoholic and non. The only downside is it was a bit of a walk from the train station.
“More than met my expectations”
Totally enjoyed the hotel - the hot, hot shower, free WiFi, the free wine/drinks and snacks at 5 pm, the "Living" area where everyone congregated and talked, the excellent breakfast (price included) and the very helpful desk staff. The mini bar is part of the hotel fee which means you have water and drinks at all times. Definitely recommend this hotel.
“Great small hotel in the Amsterdam canal loop”
This is a really nice small hotel. It is nearly the perfect location in Amsterdam. The service breakfasts and amenities were outstanding. We were there for a full week and would certainly recommend this hotel.

Canal Ring, Amsterdam, Netherlands: The classic Amsterdam image of stately canals, the Canal Loop is principally the Herengracht and Keizersgracht, lined with gracious tall 17th and 18th-century houses. Some of these are now museums, most notably the eccentric Kattenkabinet. The Amstel is a more down-to-earth waterway, lined with houseboats and famous for its classic muchphotographed Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge). The floating Flower Market is also a much-loved canal feature.
