Lovely clean room and quiet location.

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Although the room was a little on the small side it was clean and fresh looking and comfortable. Perfect for a short stay. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. It was in a nice quiet part of the city so no noise when trying to sleep and only a short tram ride to Central station.

Charming hotel close to the art museums

Posted Nov 4, 2014
Location: The hotel is an easy walk to three major art museums and the concert hall.
We enjoyed our stay in this immaculate small hotel. The staff was very helpful and the amenities well chosen. Our only caveat is that our room was quite small and overlooked a street that was surprisingly noisy on weekend nights.

Quiet boutique hotel

Posted Oct 28, 2014
Pros: It's a very quiet hotel which is ideally placed for cultural sightseeing.
Cons: The breakfast is rather uninspiring and a bit pricey for what it is,
Location: See above
The Bilderburg, Jan Luiken is ideally placed for visits to the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Concergebouw. All these are within a 5 - 10 minute walk of the hotel. This enables an early start at these museums which is essential to avoid the crowds. The hotel is also close to tram stops for the centre of Amsterdam, the Centraal train station and a bus stop for the Airport bus. Staff very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is also located close to the Leidseplein where there is a huge choice of restaurants and bars.

Very nice hotel, close to the museums.

Location: Close to the. Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum
The hotel was clean, comfortable and stylish. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. We didn't have breakfast as, at 19.50 euros we thought it was pricey. We had a very good brunch in town. The bed was extremely comfortable .

Quiet neighbourhood

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: Small hotel feel, service, cleanliness
Considering it's located just one block behind the Rijksmuseum this hotel is peacefully located in a nice residential street with tram stop just metres away at the top of the street. Nice room, very clean. The breakfast was extra but worth paying for, as it's plentiful and tasty, we paid nearly as much in a cafe for a very mediocre breakfast. You can purchase entrance tickets and tram passes at the hotel reception and the ladies on reception are full of handy tips as to where to eat locally and how to get around the city. It's worth getting a tram pass (48hr one is 12€) as you can see someone much more of the city.

Gem of a hotel

Such a helpful, professional staff (Manny is especially wonderful) and the location cannot be beat! We had a huge room by any standards, but particularly for Europe. This will be our go-to spot any time we are in Amsterdam from now on.

Satisfied Visit - hotel in Southwest Amsterdam

Posted Oct 9, 2014
Pros: Bright and airy room with balcony. Decent size room for European hotel with reasonable price. Nice bath towels
Location: Close to several museums. Van Gogh, located one block away and lots of Dutch Masters in the Rijks Museum (impressive building), 3 block walk.
Arrived hotel in early morning from long flight. Hoped to drop off luggage until PM check-in time instead found room was ready and furnished key with no early check-in charge. Helpful and pleasant staff.
