Lovely hotel. Walk to museums and symphony hall

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Staff helpful and friendly.
Cons: Bedroom a little cramped for 2 adults with luggage.
Location: FABULOUS location in the museum district only a couple of long blocks from 3 major museums including the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum.
Very attentive staff. Lovely neighborhood to walk in (upscale shops and affluent people). Safe. Nearby access to trams to center of the old town.

Nice hotel in an excellent neighbourhood

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: the location and its desgn
Cons: the bathroom because there was no way that the water went everywhere whwn taking a shower.. Had no shampoo, no conditioner
Location: Walking distance from the Rijsmuseum, the van Gogh and the museum of Modern Art. Also the Concertgebowhaus. Designers shops one block from it
This nice little hotel located in an old but renovated house is walking distance from the top museums of Amsterdam and the Concertgebowhaus. Nice area to walk by, including the best designers shops and very good places for breakfast (coffee, fresh orange juice, breads and pastries). Although my room was small, it was in the ground floor and enough size for one person. Good bed, matress and comforter. Bathroom small but OK.

Great Location

I would return to this Hotel everytime! Great location next to the Museum district. Not far from walk to the canal and the Blueboat tours. Nice to be out of the very noisy downtown. Easy to find a quiet cafe just east and south of the flower street. Safe to walk around at night. Thanks!

Nice hotel in a great location!!

Posted Jun 21, 2014
Our hotel was beautiful! We had a very large room on the 4th floor with a big bathroom with a tub. Our room looked out over the back of the hotel - very quiet. And the location in the beautiful Museum District was perfect. One block away from the museums and the shopping was fantastic. The staff was very helpful recommending things to do and made a reservation at Bloew - great Indonesian food! A wonderful experience all around!

Nice and quiet area

Hotel is on a very nice and quiet street, in an area that is adjacent to a lot of the shops and resturants which can easily be walked to. Hotel itself was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was very helpful to us tourists.

Perfect for a discerning visitor

Posted Jun 13, 2014
Pros: Its location and service. Pretty good value as long as you don't crave for ostentatious trimmings.
Cons: Free Wifi was available for only two days. Nowadays free internet connection should be as normal as clean towels.
Location: A discreetly wealthy street, close to the Rijksmuseum, van Gogh Museum, Concertgebouw and the usual top international branded luxury goods shops.
Quiet location close to Rijksmuseum, van Gogh and Concertgebouw; just what we were looking for. The hotel is respectable and unpretentious and very well run within those parameters. It offers comfort but not luxury. Decent breakfast and a small bar but no restaurant. The staff are knowledgeable, always willing to help and, of course, speak excellent English. Other guests included American academics, French culture-tourists and Dutch business people. We would certainly choose the Bilderberg again.
