“good budget option”

a typical Amsterdam budget hotel. It was clean and comfortable, appearance a bit shabby but that adds to the experience!

“Would recommend for younger singles/couples”

If one is just using one's room basically to sleep in at the end of a long day of sightseeing and having fun, it is an okay place to stay. It is very close to all the action in the main Dam section of Amsterdam along with very close to the train station and metro station. Rooms aren't very big and the stairwell is very tight if one has big luggage.

“City Hotel,close to Amsterdam Centraal”

The exterior building/refurbisment work started too early in the morning. There were 2 flights of narrow stairs with no lift. The reception staff were unable to find us a plug for the washbasin. Set against that for a budget hotel (2 stars) it was clean, warm with an adequate if unimaginative breakfast
