“Very nice hotel.”

I traveled with my husband and two daughters. The staff was extremely helpful and went so far as to call the airlines to confirm our flight times for the next morning. They also gave us detailed sight-seeing information. We thought that they went above and beyond. The hotel itself was very nice, and everything I expect out of a Courtyard property.

“A Good Night's Rest”

The Courtyard Marriott Schiphol was generally a good experience. The basic parameters were met--clean, quiet, comfortable, with a minimum of bureaucracy at check-in and check-out which is important after a whole day of travel. The bistro at the attached retreat center had only one vegetarian entree (it's always pasta) so the food, though of good quality, wasn't very creative. Given that, I'm glad it was only a one night stay! (Didn't try the chef challenge this time.) It also was not clear to me that breakfast was not included in the (substantial) price of the room and it cost an extra (quite a few) Euros. Knowing this, I'd advise anyone reserving through Expedia to either ask specifically about this or just arrange to get a cheaper breakfast at the airport. It is good, though not inexpensive there either.

“Great hotel, but not close to the center of Hoofddorp.”

We were under the impression that it was closer to the train station than it actually was. Needless to say, we had a long walk from the trainstation to the hotel with all of our luggage! Once we arrived, however, we found that it was all luxury and I really enjoyed my stay there. Our room was really nice and they even upgraded us!

“Very Nice Surprise”

My family stayed at Courtyard for one night while awaiting our return flight to the US. We were extremely pleased. All the comforts of an American hotel- large rooms, comfortable beds ,on-site snacks. All the staff were extremely helpful to us and all the guests we saw. The only drawback is its fairly secluded location- at least 12-15min from the airport. Also, the return shuttle trip from hotel to airport is NOT free and has limited schedules. Given the quality of the hotel, we may stay at Courtyard again and spend the extra taxi money to go downtown or to the train depot.

Wonderful hotel with American style rooms and beds. Helpful staff, and a great location for exploring Amsterdam and Haarlem. Transport links excellent with a bus stop 100 metres from the hotel. Highly recommended.

Close to airport. Clean and crisp with beautiful grounds. Quiet, unaffected by airport noise.

Shuttle service easy to use. Good rate with expedia for hotel near Schipol. Comfortable room, no tea and coffe making in room was the only negative comment.
