“Handy location”

Excellent hotel in a very handy location. Spacious room with a king sized bed. Staff were helpful and provided details (only if asked). The hotel was in the middle of the city and a 5 min walk from Central Station. It was close to cafes and restaurants and many souvenir shops. It is also walking distance to the Red Light District.

“Great hotel. Super-expensive internet.”

Crowne Plaza has super-convenient location - in the direct vicinity of Central Station and Damrak, yet comfortably separated from both. Rooms are clean, comfortable, modern and spacious, and everything works. Service is impeccable. The only problem is Internet access. They offer both wired and wireless connectivity, which is fast and reliable, but the price of 20 Euros per day is obscene, and you can't share it between multiple devices.

This hotel has a great convenient location 5 mins walk from Central Station.It is modernly furnished with clean tidy rooms , bath and shower and very comfortable queen beds.the staff at every point were friendly and willing to patiently assist not only with their expected duties but over and above .The concierge gave accurate advice on restuarants all of which are within walking idstance while a technician readily tried to repair a mobile phone. Canal trips and tourist office within 3 minutes walk

“A great hotel for visiting Amsterdam.”

My wife and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza in April 2012 whilst visiting friends over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. The hotel was clean and comfortable, conveniently located and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a room on the 3rd floor overlooking an internal courtyard and it was modern and clean with all expected amenities. It had tea/coffee facilities, a media hub (USB port etc for charging/ viewing media on the TV) a bank of different regional plug sockets for charging, robes, safe, minibar etc etc. Although, my wife did say it was annoying they didn't have a plug socket near a mirror for straighteners/ hair dryers. The location was ideal, about 5/10 minutes walk from Amsterdam Central train station and around the corner from a yellow bike shop which we used to get around while we were there. The lifts are activated using your room key which is probably an added safety control due to the hotel being so centrally located. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as it did seem a bit pricey and there are plenty of nice places to eat at a reasonable price nearby. All the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure our stay was pleasant. From the staff at check in who arranged for a room to be made ready for us as we arrived slightly earlier than our scheduled check in time, to the concierge and cleaners.

“Weekend in Amsterdam”

Hotel was conveniently located near Amsterdam Centraal Station, about a 5 mins walk. We also found it easy to walk to Dam Square, Anne Frank's House, the Holland International Canal Cruise and the Red Light District during our trip. The Van Gough Museum was a little further away, so we got a tram which was very easy to do as the Concierge at the Hotel was very helpful. We were able to purchase tickets for the Van Gough museum, Canal Cruise, Tram and Train from them, saving us money and time. The room was lovely, clean and modern and the staff were friendly and helpful. My only criticism would be the breakfast in the hotel is very expensive €25 per person and they also charge for Wi-Fi. Breakfast outside of the hotel is much cheaper and you can get free Wi-Fi in the surrounding restaurants for example Mynt.

“Should be 5 star for service....”

This hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed. It is in an ideal location, next to the train station and all shops and local attractions. The staff and hotel did everything to accommodate our needs. We arrived early before the check in time, but our room was ready. We requested a late check to accommodate our flight time which was also granted, and even at 4am in the morning after a night out, we were allowed to sit down stairs in the lounge even though the area was closed, better yet the night staff were kind enough to bring us all hot chocolates at that time in the morning!!! Nothing but positive for this hotel. Will definitely stay again if we visit Amsterdam again.

“Most pleasing stay”

I booked this weekend away for 3 couples.On arrival at hotel, which was before 11 o'clock am we were greeted by staff and there was no problem in checking us in early. Throughout our stay staff were most courteous and helpful at all times. Bedrooms were of a generous size and very comfortable. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone. We will certainly be back.

“Can recommend”

Lovely hotel newly refurbished so everything was clean. Nice to have bathrobes as standard. Staff very willing to provide forgotten items e.g. razor. Didn't eat there as breakfast very expensive but lots of choice around and prefer to eat dinner out. Access to business suite - internet so we could check in online for flight home. Good location - 7 mins walk from Central Station; area not great but easy access to rest of city.

“A great vacation”

We had a great stay at the Crowne Plaza. They allowed us to check-in at 10am and the following day kept our bags for us even though we'd already checked out. Very clean, very friendly and helpful. The only snafu was when we walked into the first room we checked into, the customer from the night before had not yet checked out. The desk checked us into another room promptly so it was no problem to us (not sure about the girl we walked in on). We didn't use any transportation in the city as it is very walkable if you have a couple or three days to visit.
